Would Marion Barber be a better running back if he conserved that energy he uses to

He is done. No speed at all. Defenders know how to stop him now. In the past he caught them by surprise cause he ran with so much passion and power, but now corners can take him down one on one with ease. He is now a liablity out there. I don't want to hear about his health and stuff, because he hasn't been the same since the 2007 season. Time to move on and see what we can get for him.

I would happily go into next season with choice and felix as our runners, and draft a guy in the seventh round or grab an undrafted free agent to be the 3rd back

He sucks reguardless...He used to be my favorite player in like 2006, but he has done nothing but hurt us since then..

I've never seen a rb celebrate a 5 yard run as much as Marry Barber does.

Barber will never be as good as he once was

He'll be better when he's healthy again.

I'm tired of hearing that crap. He sucked all last year and all this year. Felix and choice seem to get yards when their in there so why can't he? He is too slow and tried to bounce everything to the outside. Plus he is no longer hard to bring down. So he brings nothing to the table now. Corners now bring him down with ease. We are better off without him.

Yeah our defense was out there celebrating and trash talking after some stops in the fourth quarter. Not really much to celebrate when you are down by three scores, but somehow they find something.

Im sorry but why was MB3 even on the field at all? MB3 14 yards on 8 carries, Felix Jones 69 yards on 14 carries. It is a joke that Felix Jones wasnt the featured back today.

Been happening all year...the biggest glaring example was the Thanksgiving game....take a look at the stats for all THREE RB's that day....it was patently obvious.

How many times did Felix drive us down the field today and then we substitute Barber and the stalled. I like Barber but he needs to go back to closer.

In my opinion he hasnt been the same since the 1st half of the playoff loss to the gnats in 2007...

He was fine until the thigh injury

I would hope that Barber would go back to his straight ahead running style and stop trying to bounce everything outside. He no longer tries to initiate contact. That is his game, and he needs to get back to it.

Hopefully we can trade him to the Dolphins who will get Parcells to motivate him to run with passion and authority.

He flops around like a fish out of water if he gains 2 yards or more.

No, you can't have Barber on the team with Garrett - he will give him a substantial portion of the carries and this will lead to stalled drives.

Barber is only good for running out the clock when you have a big lead and don't want Felix taking shots.

He needs to be traded or cut. There is no reason to bring him back again at this salary.

We'd be better off with a UDFA who can run short yardage and play special teams.

Barber is also the best RB in pass protection. That is why Garrett likes to play him so much.
