Would QB Malik Willis be an upgrade over Cooper Rush?

Nope.
If we were to get any young qb I’d be interested in taking a shot to develop Matt Carrol. Would have to trade for him, but doubt it would be much at all. He at least had a passable skill set to develop.

There's only way to find out. The mistake would be to bring him in, because of his draft status, without competing.

Rush has earned his position on the roster, so I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to replace him unless someone beats him out for the job.

The Titans/Oilers have never won a Super Bowl. How many years has that been?

I know that has nothing to do with the topic. Sorry, it just put a thought in my head about how hard it is to win and how difficult it is to have a good qb.

I'm a big Carrol fan myself. I thought he was the best QB in the draft last year, but he was injured so he may be a bit behind his initial trajectory. Still, guy has the tools, arm and mobility you need in today's NFL.

The QB I really wanted in Dallas was Jaren Hall. He has the personality to be a fit, and checks all the boxes athletically. The downside to him is that he's only played for 2 years, after doing his mission.

IMO, Hall was a top 5 QB prospect in this class. Didn't play out that way, but I'm sticking to it.

Last yeah he couldn't pass. Reminds me of what Stephen McGee was here. BUT, the guy has potential and I'd like to find what that is but they would not let Rush go for him.

Kind of shocked they're already out on him. They must'e never really been in on him to begin with.

The real question is why in the hell would you be in on Ryan Tannenhill? I didn't even know he was still there.

They know that they want to end it now. They should know thar it isn't going to work with him.

I watched Willis play a lot at Liberty. He is a good player but showed nothing last year and was obviously way over his head. There was a reason he could not make it at Auburn and had to transfer down. I would take a flyer but really not expect much.

Dallas would do fine with Tannehill. There would be no dropoff from Dak!

Based on what? They gave them guy Derrick Henry and multiple 1st rounders at receiver with Corey Davis and AJ Brown and he did nothing. Why on earth do you think Tannenhill is anything more than garbage? The only son the Titans are holding on to him I'm sure if based on financial.

If you are in it to win it Rush should be the backup. Dudes won 5 of 6 career starts. Willis would be qb experiment #3 and would need a year to learn before i'd trust him at all.

You’re lost if you believe that. Lol Tannehill was 6-6 last season. There’s a reason Tennessee drafted a QB high in the second round. Many were surprised they passed on a QB in the first round.

I dont know how great of a backup Rush is anymore.

One of his biggest strengths was he had the system mastered. If the system is drastically different I'm not sure where that puts him.

He was really impressive at the beginning of his run, but did fizzle out towards the end.

He did okay last season with a great defense and a running game. We’re fine with him as long as we don’t give up more than 17 points. The only game we gave more than 17 points with him we lost. You certainly can’t afford to get behind with him. We had virtually no passing game with him and we weren’t scoring much.

He was throwing darts the first couple weeks. That Giants game he made a lot of nice throws. Not sure if defense adjusted or he came back down to earth. I agree it was almost all defense the last 2 or 3 weeks, and in general it took a strong defensive effort.
