Would Quinn's departure affect Micah staying here?

Micah has a great relationship with DQ...but he has a lot of other great relationships with his teammates.

He gets held a lot and it never gets called. But I bet Steelers fans say the same thing about tj watt. The browns fans probably say the same thing about Garrett. Same could be said for niners fans and bosa.

Theres no denying Parsons is an elite pass rusher. Early in the season he was unstoppable. But he has once again faded down the stretch and he gets exposed in the run game.

He's going to get a record contract by the cowboys when it comes time. Jerry is not going to let him hit the market.

But theres a reason the players didn't vote him over watt and Garrett. They are better overall players.
BETTER OVERALL PLAYERS which to me means, they do more than one thing really well, or they have an impact on the game more often than just a few plays. Has he made some good run stops recently YES. But those guys you mentioned I agree totally, the affect the game in a MAJOR way, like when it's 3rd down, and the commentators are saying they're coming, THEY"RE COMING, and they get the sack, or affect the play in some way so it's time to punt. You are completely spot on, and this does not make you a hater or troll or whatever they want to call people on here when they don't agree with what they want you to agree with!! Spot on!!!!!!!

This ain't the NBA
you're right, but there are guys that play themselves off the team, i'll give you an example Chase Young, the players on his team said his work ethic wasn't there any more, late for meetings etc, rifs with the coaches

But he can’t retire then wait and sign elsewhere. Dallas has his rights unless they relinquish them or trade him.
If he tried that route. Teams would be leery of him To a degree.
I feel like what he's saying is that they control what he does and will basically be on this team his whole career, like what if he doesn't want to be here???

I think Micah will opt for the chance to be on a better team over a bigger paycheck.

That is not a thought. Please expound.
He has a year left on his deal, an option year after that, then can be franchised. Leaving isn't an option for him unless he just wants to force the Cowboys to trade him.

We have to think about that, we know he's our leader on defense and our best player on defense. They both have a great relationship, could this be in play, could it hurt contract talks?? Please give your thoughts
lol! No!

No. That’s why they made the franchise tag
Once again that is mentioned ok I get it, that's used basically when a long term deal can't get done or for other reasons. In the end, no player wants to be tagged

it depends upon the DC who would replace Quinn, imo.

It's likely to vary among coaches -coordinators.

The next DC may want to go preferably 3-4 Steelers like scheme.
(which we would need to add much more bigger-physical LB starters & depth)
While another may be 4-3 scheme, ala Eagles and Cleveland.

And most of all , how that DC will want to scheme Parsons.
A TJ Watt 3-4 OLB ?
Or a Hasson Riddick/Von Miller like LB role in the 4-3 scheme ? ( or 4-2-5 nickel base ?)

BTW, the club would have to really do their diligence work on the next DC, just as they
did with hiring Quinn, cuz we recall what happened when McCarthy himself brought in
the disaster better known as Mike Nolan.

IMO, Micah has been the best defensive player in football the last 2 seasons, maybe even 3 seasons, in the first half of the season. Then he's faded down the stretch. Whether it's pacing, conditioning, or injury, the Cowboys need more of him in the 2nd half of the year. Regardless, it's comical that anyone ITT thinks Jerry Jones would let him get away.

If Micah truly wanted out, the Cowboys would find a way to trade him. MP leaving as a free agent is a practical impossibility. He'll want that big $$ guaranteed, and the only way he can get it now is resigning with Dallas.
