At this point I would. Troy is better in coverage, not nearly as good against the run, but that is because Roy is the best S in the league in probably the last 15 years against the run. But Troy is a much better/slipperier blitzer.

What I'd really like to see is Roy drop a few lbs particularly in the thighs and then we use him like the Steelers use Troy. I really think that role, the one he did as a rookie, he excels at. Its like getting a dynamic back like Bush and then making him smash it up the middle play after play the way we use Roy. Not only are you exposing his weakness, you are taking away what makes him special.

Troy gets burned to, last time I checked the Steerlers were struggiling, also Roy has more int's this year. The grass is always greener though.

I don't get all this Roy hate, he is putting in one of the best defensive performances on the team, why not improve the real problems?

I was just asking hypotherically due too us running the 3-4.Troy is way faster and is on every pass and run play.Roy is great close to the line,otherwise he is lost,and thats obvious.

Well, here's a theory: A safety is part of the secondary which makes pass defending their number one priority and tackling/stopping the run secondary. Roy excels at his secondary responsibility but is pretty lacking in his primary responsibility.

Like Vick at QB. (QBs throw first, run second) Well, he's great at his secondary duty but not so much his primary. That's why I don't consider Vick a great QB. Great PLAYER, sure. Not a great QB.

Our own Mr. Owens is inferior to Terry Glenn in my mind, too. TG makes the CATCH almost always. Running after the catch is just gravy. Owens is great after the catch but him catching it is more of an adventure than Glenn. That's why Glenn is a better WR. Owens is probably the better athlete.

This trend of thinking Roy is worthless after a bad game is getting old, with his seven take aways how many games did he keep them in this year? If Roy went to FA he would get top $ and teams would be falling over themselves to get him. Cowboy fans just love to have a scapegoat to blame. Name the players out performing him on the D?

His 5 int says otherwise, he's got more then the rest of the secondary combined. Stick a decent FS in the mix & a pass rush that can, you know actually rush, he wouldn't be shown up as much.

Ware,Aaron glenn,TNew --- I never said Roy was worthless,hes a run coverage safety,too slow for pass.period.I dont think we should or would ever let him go,he is obviously a great athlete in general.I was just asking what u guys think.How about this,troy palamalu at free safety and roy at SS.Imagine that pipedream.
