totally want to be in the game .I want the chance. There are no chances if your not in the game.
You learn alot playing in the SB then next year you come back more experienced and try again.
Never give up I heard someone say.

If you are working a $30,000-a-year job right now, would you reject a $70,000-a-year job offer just because it's not a $100,000-a-year job?

For me - it's kinda like you're asking 'would you rather have the flu in January or February?'

To which I'd respond, 'February... by all means.' If only there were a shot for THAT.

Considering I've only seen Dallas win one playoff game during my entire fandom (I was too young to remember the 90s glory days) I'd be happy with a Super Bowl appearance...

If we lost in the manner that Denver lost last year, then it would be horrible and I'd rather not even make it there. If they lost in the way that the Titans lost to the Rams in 2000, then it would be tough to swallow, but at least there would be no heartbreaking interceptions and the team fought tooth and nail all the way to the end.

1 yard short is better than 43-8 in my opinion.

Doesn't matter, it's all a failure. No prize for second place. Super Bowl win or nothing.

You cant win the game watching from the couch bro....................you have to play in the game to have a chance to win the game.

Given that the team has won only one playoff game during the Romo era I would be thrilled if we advanced to the SB this year. Better to get there and lose than not to get there at all.

Even if we made it to the Super Bowl and lost we could still celebrate an NFC Championship. So if the choices are going to the Super Bowl and losing or not going at all I choose to go.

Considering many, including myself, had chalked this season up as lost, I would be very happy with the Cowboys getting that far. Even if they lost. It would tell me that at least the team is making strides and going in that right direction.

you can't win it if you aren't in it

1) I would be happy to shut up all of the eagles fans in the area (since I am in NE Penna) and state definitively that the Cowboys>>>Eagles even though they have the great Chip Kelly
2) Getting to the SB would also get rid of the "only 1 playoff win in 19 years" crap...we would have to minimally win 2 playoff games to get into the SB
3) wouldn't it be great to say something in 2015 like "Getting to the SB in the NFC has to go through Dallas"?

No I would not be happy with a superbowl loss, because it will probably be a game winning TD or a backbreaking INT that causes the loss.

Lose a Super Bowl by blowout or last minute int returned for 6 or long TD strike.
When it feels like your guts are being ripped out while someone else cussin ten boys. Let's see how it feels!

When it gets to 13 pages. I will post worse 13 page thread ever!

At this time of year then it's a tough one. After winning the NFC then obviously you're not going to find anyone saying they'd be happy with it. After the 'niners game in week 1 I'd have bitten your hand off if you offered a Superbowl defeat. It's very subjective and will probably swing back and forth a couple of times between now and the end of the season.

No it doesn't.

How does it not mean they are going in the right direction? From three straight 8-8 seasons to a Super Bowl appearance? That is in the right direction. Now, that does not mean that the team would continue in the right direction but it does give some hope for the future. We would know that we have a solid foundation to build upon. We have a solid, young offensive line and a defense that, while not being overly talented, plays hard and with purpose. We have made strides in the right direction.

There is absolutely no trend that shows a team is moving in right direction after losing a Super Bowl.
