Ditto here .... and having him at the " Deebo" role takes away package reps from Deuce

" We like Guys "

I dont want to take away from Deuce, but we don't know what we have yet. Patterson is a known talent. I'd rather have more than needed than role the dice on Duece being the answer.

Might be interesting in a few wannabe Deebo type gadget plays or possible upgrade over Turpin in the return game.
Haven't paid much attention to how much speed he may have lost or his durability.

then take a long look at Deuce in camp/preseason ..and consider signing a Patterson at summer's end.

No doubt. He can do multiple things on offense as well as play special teams. He is 32 but could be a good short term pickup.

Turpin will be 27 next month. No way the plan is to replace him with a 32 year old. Cordarelle would be brought in as a guy who could give you different looks. But he won't be even close to a full time return man.

Yeah, I’m not quite on the Zone Deuce is a poor man’s Barry Sanders bandwagon

Hoping for the best but I’m not going to make plans around a sixth round pick.

I’m sure there are people ready to list him as darn near untouchable once he has a single good game.

At this point Jerry should be willing to sell his soul to Beelzebub to bring a Lombardi back to Dallas.

However there are two issues with this idea..Jerry probably doesn’t have a soul and if he did it’s probably going to reside in Hades anyway

As usual, Jerry has no leverage in this negotiation

Patterson is due $4.25M this upcoming season.
With with the major surprise of Tyler Allgeier 2022 rookie season ... and now - being able to pair him with Bijan Robinson - the thinking is the Falcons can shed Patterson and that salary + Dirty Birds see Neville Gillmore as bolstering their Dline (where he will face fierce competition this TC\ PS to stay on with the Cowboys).

Honestly, I think there will be enough balls for all three. We don't have that big durable RB like Zeke. So all RBs will be on a pitch count to minimize injuries. As for Patterson for Gillmore, I'd do it in a NY min. Just another weapon for the offense.

Has been mentioned is one of the easiest ways to attach Dallas' names.

I think we're interested in Patrick Mahomes if he becomes available. Now, NFL rumors can tweet that.
Mahomes is a total slouch who hasn’t lived up to expectation. /s.

Yeah u pay that contract happily. We need to solidly the position. If TP goes down we are far too reliant on Davis, RJ and rookies.

In a perfect world that's a great plan, but Atlanta could find another suitor while we sit on our hands. We have approached RB this offseason similar to how we addressed WR last year and I don't like the gamble.

Middle class Barry Sanders.

I saw the story with it being headlined from Sports Ilustrated.
Just with back to dig in deeper....
It's one part Mike Fisher well known to many Cowboys Zone / Dallas sports fans - and another part Drake Toll (that seriously cannot be a true name) who does work for 'Falcons Report' - an NFL team site under the umbrella of 'Fan Nation'.
This Toll guy posted in his report about "the trade rumor" a video of Mike Fisher - with his sidekick Bri Amaranthus - referring to this scenario.
My apologies to CZers for me not doing diligent research before running down that rabbit hole.

then we''l make do without a suitor .. it's would be more of a possibility if Patterson was cut, ..and free without draft pick compensations. but Stephen is not gonna do that if we hve to
give up draft picks to do so for a guy that is just a KO returner (wile we already have a great KR/PR) and spot gimmick RB

and by the way, Patterson is not a full time RB
