Would You be Mad: Barrett Jones at #18

I understand he is currently rated as low first round/ high 2nd round, but I honestly wouldn't mind this pick at all at 18. I really like Jones tbh. I'd take him before Vac or Sly.

Kid seems like a sure thing to me. Draft him and you potentially have a 10 year starter a center. Why pass on him to get a guy who some scouts label as lazy at times in Sly? Or a safty who doesn't get turnovers in the pass happy Big 12? Cooper, Womack, Shelden or maybe Austin would defiantly come before him, but I'd honestly take Jones over Vaccoro or Williams.

dude that guy is not a 1st round pick. he might not even be the best center in the draft.

I really believe Womack, Cooper, Fluker may not be there at 18. I hope I'm wrong but that could be the case. So yeah, you may want to trade down to get Jones but if you can't trade down, and those 3 are off the board then why not Jones IMO?

His versatility is what separates him from Frederick IMO. Watching the kid the National Championship I honestly think he can be something special.

Bryan Broaddus has said over & over again that the Cowboys don't like Jones.. I am not saying his word is gospel, but he is pretty close to the organization up at valley ranch.

That would be a reach for the ages. Some publications (Scouts Inc is an example) have him available when Dallas picks in the 4th.
