i think it was a few weeks back playing the packers Mike said that offense was the most qb friendly one ever, i took it as a bit of a shot…I thought Romo would have been a killer west coast qb, maybe that makes dak a better one.

They are not going to fire McCarthy.

Jerry likes to give HCs time. He has often said he was too quick to fire Chan Gailey and still regrets it.

Stephen hates to pay coaches to leave. They still owe McCarthy 2 years of pay after 2022.

I agree with this 100% .......Hell, they brought Garret back to coach the final year of his deal as a lame-duck coach rather than firing him before the 2019 season.

Sean Payton or any other head coach who wants the kind of autonomy any real NFL HC wants will not come to Big D to play second fiddle to an 80 year old Al Davis replica. Besides Mike McCarthy has done a better job under the circumstances than most HCs post Jimmy. I expect Big Mac here next year.

Some great points here that should refresh our collective memories.
Jerry has said before that he needs a "coach that he's comfortable with." (e.g. he was NOT comfortable with Parcells) Best guess is that Jerry has changed very little since the nineties and doubtful that he'd go after another big name HC.
