Would you choose One and done to get Sean Peyton?

The only time I would root for a loss would be in a situation where we were deep out of the playoff picture and a game or 2 would mean the difference between a high pick vs later.

It's tough to consistently win in this league and I gladly take a shot in the playoffs to go all the way.

What makes Sean Payton so desirable that we’d give up draft capital to get him? To me he’s not really an upgrade to Big Mike. Both have one SB win and both have had success as well as failure in the league. I wouldn’t give up valuable picks for a comparable coach to the one we have.

McCarthy and Payton's coaching records are virtually identical, and Payton had a future HOF QB for 15 years.

I'll never understand why he's held in such regard here, other than he was an assistant in Dallas I guess. There's nothing on his resume' to suggest he's a massive upgrade.

Jake i can think of 3 games big Mike lost for cowboys with either inferior clock managment or dumb play calling.....Mike hears what plays are going to Daks headset....say Hell NO...we are not going to

try some lame low percentage pass that preserves their timeout....run it and punt it......we win 34-31.....chaps my behind something fierce

No, because it would mean Payton for draft selections going to the Saints as compensation. We are not much of a player in free agency either and it is not the head coach that would be the blame for the early exit. We have some glaring holes on this team, come the off season.

Sean Payton has won the same number of Super Bowls as Mike McCarthy and McCarthy’s Super Bowl win was more recent than Sean Payton’s. Both coaches won Super Bowls with future Hall of Fame QBs. Sean Payton pretty much quit on the Saints because he’s burned out. I don’t think anything would change with him. Until the Joneses change how they operate no HC they bring in. will make a difference. A new head coach will equal the same results. If you don’t believe me look at the past 2+ decades with the Cowboys. The last 6 Cowboys head coaches combined for only 3 playoff wins.
