Would you draft a DE in the 1st?

If a DE is BPA, of course. But then, I'd draft BPA (or trade down) pretty much regardless of position, especially this year. Dallas isn't really desperate at any particular position, but there also isn't a position where a 1st-round-level talent infusion couldn't be put to good use.

That includes a QB in the late first, although if a QB is BPA, I'd be more inclined to trade down. QBs are pretty much always overdrafted anyway, except the clear top-level guys, so it's unlikely QB will be true BPA late in the 1st.

The pass rush has slowed down, and the saying " you can never have enough pass rushers" is holding true. DE is on the table, firmly.

Yea, I think Stunt Fest 2022 was a mirage of how good our pass rush really is earlier this year.

I’d 100% draft a DE in round 1. Get Parsons off the dang line and let him pass rush on passing downs.

After a quick review of the late 1st round DE prospects here's who I like:
Derick Hall (6'3, 256) (4.5 speed) Auburn

Felix Anudike-Uzomah (6'4, 256) (4.7 speed) K-State

Drew Sanders (6'5, 232) (4.5 speed) UA/Bama... OLB, ILB, Edge

Nolan Smith (6'3, 235) (4.5 speed) Georgia

There is some talent available if Dallas still wants and Edge Rusher.

Felix is a stud and i think end of round 1 makes sense. Not sure I’ve seen Hall get much first round love.

Sanders is off the ball and I don’t know what to do with Smith but he has tweeter size.
