Would you spend an hour with someone you don't like for a free dinner?

No... Unless there is a really good wine pairing with the meal.

That’s more of a girl thing... can you imagine going out with an ugly hag just because she buys you nice things. Tell you what, I’ll pay the bill so I can leave in peace.

Calling it a girl thing is painting with a pretty broad brush. A sociopath girl thing is closer.

I knew a girl years ago who admitted to it. She was low on money, so she put a personals ad in the paper (that's how long ago it was) and when they called she told them they would have to pay for the babysitter too. She claims she had dinner dates at least 5 nights a week for several months. Who knows if that was true. Maybe she's a sociopath and a sociopathic liar.

It probably goes beyond free meals, those chicks are whacked. I’m guessing it’s an ego power trip thing that they get off on knowing they are using the guy.

Like @Runwildboys alluded to, there were plenty of girls in college I could have hooked up with but didnt want to put in the time, even if it were just one night. I don’t care how good looking they are, ditzy annoying pretentious women are a total turn off.

Luckily I found a smart one (with the exception of marrying me) while I was hopped up on pills and alcohol, didn’t even remember the first time I actually talked to her. We’ve been happily together since I was 20, ~22 years now.
