Would you take a #1 for Martellus Bennett now?

No, I wouldn't.

Why not? You wouldnt take a first for a player we dont even utilize.

15 catches, no TDs, 3 or 4 killer drops..for a first round pick seems like a no brainer.

It's not like a 2-14 type of team made the offer. It'd be interesting to see what he could do if Witten were inactive for any length of time (knock on wood). The Skins' Fred Davis has suddenly bloomed in Cooley's stead.

look who you're talking to. he also wants the Giants to beat Philly cause that's what Hostile said.:laugh1:

Yes. Every draft has TEs with potential. Right now that is all Marty B is, and he seems to have regressed this year.

I'd take a 1st rounder for him if it was the first pick or the thirty second pick.

O'Line depth is needed, Witten is a HOF'er with multiple years left, maybe another 5-7 and we will get another Bennett before then.

We dont utilize the guy, and when we have a play or two drawn up for him, he is day dreaming about the planet jupiter.

I would definitely take a 1st round pick for him. I don't have anything against Bennett. I think he'll be a good TE, but we have bigger needs than another talented TE to complement Witten.

I'd take a 3rd.

Too many people bought into the training camp hype.

I haven't liked Bennett since Hard Knocks exposed what a disrespectful, lazy slug he is.

He has all the talent in the world, but doesn't have the work ethic. He'll never live up to his potential imo.

Phillips>Bennett

Man I hope Cincy comes calling again. I'll take a first no problem.

Hello Eric Berry!!!

I can't bring myself to give up on what I have seen sparks of early on. That said, No, I wouldn't give him up for a first right now. Hell, we drafted Barbie in the first. Nuff said.

Carpenter is having more of a positive impact on this team than Bennett is right now.

Think about that - even if we bust with the pick it is worth it.

you got all that off 1 "reality tv" quote?

man people just have to make up their mind about someone quickly.

Some people had the nerve to say he'd catch 50 balls and 8 TDs this year. ;)

I'd take a 2nd for him right now. I thought he was going to be like Antonio Gates, instead he seems to have little football instincts, terrible work ethic, and cares more about his rap career than football. Just sayin'.

He doesn't catch the ball, or run after the catch with confidence. He may block well, but he drops balls and doesn't seem to be focused - those aren't things you want out of your tight end.

He's also got the best TE in football to learn from, and from what I hear - he hasn't been taking advantage of that opportunity either.

Love Bennett's potential, but unless he's constantly involved he loses interest. Which is why Garrett has lost interest in getting him involved.

Lets say Superman ever did miss a game, which cant happen. Bennet wouldnt have the concentration, knowledge, and experience to fill in to that role.

If hes still worth a 2nd Id do it.
