Would you trade a draft pick for RGIII?

It is all over the radio here in DC, you have Chris Cooley as an example who is still pretty close to the team (he does his show from Skins park) who does his film breakdown and reports what he is hearing from the players. But it is not just him, fairly widely reported here.

Also in today's Washington Post. It's real...

Really?

Gruden has been a real disaster. Hard to qualify him as a HC whose opinion is valuable here. Let's not forget we also saw a promising Cousins go from a guy who looked like a legit starter to 3rd string on his watch.

There is clearly something screwed up with Griffin now but he's not getting any real coaching at this point

When did Cousins look like a legit starter?

I'm sorry. I'm just not seeing how he's such a problem. Just more of the same old stereotypes hitting a new target. He's not playing well. That is true. But that's the only truth here.

There is no stereotyping going on here. That is ridiculous.

I would rather have RG3&out than Brandon Weeden. However, what I would RALLY like is that our weekly opponent start RG3&Out and Brandon Weeden every week. We would go undefeated for YEARS playing against those two.

He's interesting. He has to buy into running a Pro Offense but yes, I would gamble on him. Steve Young was in a similar situation. The 49ers made a wise move on him and it payed off. Who knows if that same thing could be done with RGIII but yeah, I would gamble if it were reasonable.

According to various analysts, he's done in Washington. Some said that his problem is mostly on his mind, that the "talent" is still there... Personally, i would gamble even a third if he passes some evaluation.
No. You would have to pay his current contract if you trade for him.

Just wait to see if they cut him and then it would be a consideration.

A decision to pick up a $18 million option for the 2016 season has to be made in the Spring. That is why a trade for Griffin is not reasonable. Unless a team can renegotiate his contract, then a trade is not very reasonable.

Right. All the way down to how people focus on one sentence from his PC vs. The actual message that dominated most of his comment - that he stank and everyone needed to work to get better.

Everyone has said Kirk Cousins isn't good enough, either. Is that stereotyping as well?

Last year. We kept hearing how the Washington team would be able to trade him for a quality pick. Pay attention dude

I paid attention to the people who said he looked bad most of the time and there were a lot of people who said it. I saw with my own eyes that he wasn't an NFL caliber starter.

I know there are financial implications that would need to be considered but it would depend on what the Cowboys thought of him. If they looked at him as the air apparent to Romo, that might be a deal that could be reworked, just depending. The Cowboys would have to be able to work out a financial situation that could be acceptable to both parties. If he hits the free market, you don't know what the numbers would look like. I doubt he gets that kind of money so there might be some room there but the other side of that is, what might the Cowboys have to give to draft a guy who could be the replacement for Romo? It's hard to equate value there.

I don't think anybody would just pick up his 18 million option, which is why I said that it would have to be a reasonable deal.
