Would you trade up for Aaron Donald?

It seems to me that Chicago is the team most likely to snatch him up in front of us (they pick 14th). If Donald is still there at 13, do we trade up 3 spots to ensure that he's our man? I can't imagine it would cost that much to move from 16 to 13 in a draft where everyone wants to trade down.

Thoughts?

As long as it doesn't cost more than a fourth I'd be fine with that. Donald would be worth it IMO.

Not with only having one pick in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th, and no picks in the 6th.

I would only trade up to around 11 or 12, too. Going to be too costly to get into the top 10.

But if you're talking about trading up, might as well give a little more and trade up for Mack.

If we didn't sign Melton I'd say yes for a 4th...., but since we signed Melton I'd probably look at trading down if he doesn't fall to us (and I don't think he will). We just have to many places where we can use help and this is a nice draft.

No I would not. He is a very good fit for us but there are other very good players in this draft that would be a good fit for us also. Rounds 2 through 5 are so deep, IMO, that it would be a cardinal sin to trade picks away in those rounds, in this draft, unless you were convinced that you were getting a corner stone franchise type talent.

No. I love Donald, but to have to even give up a 3rd or fourth rounder is big in my opinion. It's all about adding young players now into the mix. It's still sucks that by trading up to get Mo we lost out on maybe a Brockers and Bobby Wagner. I know Wagner was a second rounder., but the whole 2 for 1 deal is not right for this team at this point in time.

Do u believe he's a day 1 starter and a total beast? If yes then do it, otherwise wait till the 2-3 round for somebody else..

If Clowney or Mack were to fall to #10 I'd have no problem trading up. Other than that, no way. We need our 3rd round pick too much to trade up.

I know this isn't popular, but If I want an impact defensive lineman, I'm trading up for Barr or Donald. I just don't think this is a strong defensive lineman draft and I think a lot of these edge rushers(D. Ford, D. Lawrence, M. Smith, S. Crighton) are going to be over drafted and won't make it to our 2nd round pick.

Nope.....only if the Titans at 11 or Rams at 13 throw in their second round pick to go with our compensation. And we all know that isn't happening.

I like Donald but not that much more than I like Jernigan and Martin. I'd be okay with Barr or Lewan as well.

If two or more are there at 16, do you get on the phone with Baltimore and try and trade away a future pick to select two of them?

no, this would involve our first next year and with romo's health status unclear, i would not trade that away. what if romo is not romo with his back surgeries?

more likely i try to tade down to around 20-24 and still expect jernigan/donald to be there because it seems that the next team to draft a DT might be in the late 20s

i would be perfectly happy with donald/jernigan and attaochu/crichton/smith

Now, if I want Barr, I would need to take him at 16

I wouldn't take him in the first round regardless. I want a more versatile defender with that pick.

It was not a good decision to trade up for Mo. And that should serve as a reminder for this draft. The only player that I would like to see a trade up for is Johnny Football, not because I am a fan of his, but I just would get a laugh out of the meltdown.
