could it be more mental? something made him a 3rd round pick, I believe part of that was talent

I'm thinking he's ill-suited for a power running team. 6-8" 315 lbs. Seems like more of a Broncos zone blocking lineman to me. Maybe they should have traded him straight up for Holland?

but nothing they've done, or are capable of, have been enough to offset those issues

To date, no that's true. But I still think that both have handled those issues and that either is worth a low-risk look.

getting beat out by Keydrick Vincent is not a good thing

Honestly, he's playing very well. The Panthers entire line has. Just ask the Commanders!

we have to face facts, neither are good enough to stop the development of our younger linemen

I would disagree. It's not like either Fonoti or Olivea are considerably 'older' than either McQ or Marten, certainly not to where they couldn't play for several years longer.

same deal w/ not going after Matt Jones, we've invested time and energy into these guys, and are going to see it through, and they have had to show our team something, or they would be gone, just like Walden, or Skyler Green went so quickly

My point wasn't about Matt Jones replacing Crayton, Hurd, or Austin but more Terry Glenn who I felt and still feel was and is finished.

If not for his 'extracurricular activities', Jones might have been pretty valuable for the Cowboys right about now.

But that's another topic for another time. And one I'm not too interested in revisiting right now.
