Just filed to @ESPNDallas - WR Danny Coale will need surgery to repair broken bone in left foot. Hopefully b back early in training camp

There it is...move on from that.

How many more of these rookies can get injured?

More than 20 if you include the undrafted guys

I almost feel sorry for Ron Leary for signing with us.

He doesn't stand a chance of staying healthy here.

Who's the third rookie injured? Everyone keeps saying 3.

1. Morris Claiborne - pre-existing wrist injury before draft, cast came off yesterday I believe.
2. Danny Coale - Foot injury today
3. ?

Kyle Wilber. Broken finger.

@RapSheet
Was told earlier #Cowboys WR Danny Coale's injury was minor. Specifically: Broken 5th metatarsal in his foot, I'm told. Month-long injury

The only positive is that it prepares the young guys and the team how to deal with injuries when someone has to sit out. If you can practice stepping in to play for an injured player the Cowboys just figured out how. Now if it happens during the regular season, they have already gone through a similar situation in OTA's. I can't deny that it's frustrating to hear but I'm sure the team will be just fine.

Yeah but this has completely rocked my world. This is like Chuck Norris going on IR.

Nice post...

But, really, it's football, period. It takes young, strong, players, and a lot of luck.

;)

:lmao2:

I'm Italian so my go to phrase in situations like this is, "what are ya gonna do?" There's no time to sit around and mope about it. Us as fans won't make his foot heal any faster but whining, although, that would be very, VERY nice if it did because his foot would be healed by tonight.

I do remember you calling him your pet tiger though, so I'm sure you have a couple of tissues handy.
