I’d like to see a fully healthy group out there with our starting QB before I want to rebuild.

MG is coming off injury and Washington hasn’t even played yet. We’ll know end of season how good this group is.

Disappointing Tolbert hasn’t played, I was high on him as a prospect.
I wasnt but youtubers were fapping over this kid. He balled against kids running 5 sec 40s.

Truth…..they shine against the weakest teams but go bye bye against defenses that press
I guess you can't have it all,as the old saying goes. But on the other hand, we may have two really good running backs. Just give them a little room to maneuver and they can make some good things happen. Also, Ferguson might be the tight end we are looking for as well. Still way too early to throw in the towel.

What a mess. We have a 2...at best....most often 2.5 mental midget with a body built by Snoop posing as a 1...we have a 3 that shouldn't have been resigned, who only catches sideline routes posing as a 2....we have a special teams WR that supposedly "blocks well" and ocasionally finds a squirrel nut because he has caught thousands of balls with the backup QB posing as a 3. This corp will do nothing....especially given who is about to return at QB next week. If Booger and Chuckles resign Snoop, they both formally need to be committed....other teams swap out and retool WR corps on the fly. The Eagles had the worst WR corp the last couple of years....look now. Watch and see how long we stay saddled with this bottom 5 mess.
So what if Rush got the ball to Lamb after he beat his guy for a somewhat easy 60 yard TD, giving him a stat line of 6-128 and a TD with a backup QB and got us within a FG of the tie? Then we may have just tried to get closer on the last drive where Maher missed a 59 yarder. What would your angle have been then?

No argument that I would love to see an upgrade at the position, but on the flip side if we had better QB play last night this isnt a thread today. Lamb had an easy TD towards the end of the game, and there were several poorly thrown balls to the TEs that could have extended drives.

Last night was a tough matchup for these WRs, but the bigger issue was Rush played his worst game of the year.
This has been the TOP topic of mine for months....this and Dak is what will keep us from going "next level"

We don't have that big physical WR or one fast enough to stretch the field. Gallup and CD are similar and both are solid complimentary wrs. We need a #1. That said, Philly has 2 of the best CBs in the NFL.
It didn't help that Rush doesn't have any zip on his throws. A lot of those plays had receivers who were open, but by the time the ball got there, the DB had time to get there too.

Yeah, Lamb doesn’t look like a top 15 NFL WR.

Gallup makes big plays but doesn’t get open routinely. Maybe he’d be fine as a #2 if we had an elite #1.

Kind of a disappointing position group other than Noah Brown who has outplayed his expectations.

definitly not throwing in the towel. We were tied with the Eagles for the easiest schedule in the NFL and we just made it through the hardest part of it and went 4-2 with a backup quarterback. Should be a time to string together a lot of wins now

Do you guys really believe this offense run with Rush will be the same when Dak plays? Cmon man this team will put points on the board. Over reaction by many and the damn media.

That's cool and all, but I'll stand by my statement. The Cowboys missed a ton of opportunities in the passing game yesterday, largely early on when Rush seemed to be rattled, and late when Rush felt pressure and missed wide open receivers.

This WR unit is pretty mediocre for todays NFL, and I would have zero issues upgrading, but if Rush hits Lamb at the end of that game and ends up with 6/100+/TD stat line we aren't having this discussion right now. Guys were open all night, QB didn't execute.

Rush played a nice second half. After pulling within 3 points, our defense couldn't get off the field and gave up an 8 minute 75 yard TD drive. Rush's arm wasn't any different this week than previous weeks.

I hope not, but it's not ridiculous to think results will be similar. Recent history has had several Dak clunkers including the last two games he has played. We put up 3 against Tampa, and 17 against SF. I'm still optimistic, but it's fair to be skeptical that Dak will truly be a difference maker too....at least consistently.
