Need a full body of work. These WRs are better than how their being painted in this post. They were winning on routes last night, but things just didn't come together.

Tolbert n Simi are the disappointments, and who knows what Washington is. I say get QB1 back along with JW, let everyone settle in then blast them if need be.

Here's what I don't understand.
when you have a talent like Turpin how can you not put him out there and and let him make people miss?
You trust him catching punts yet you can't put him in the slot, toss it to him and see what he can do?
I just don't understand.
I was going to give Kellen Moore the entire season but I've had enough.
Maybe he's not good in practice.

I was told in numerous threads here that we are better off without Amari ….

Yeah, I don't get that. Defenses had to play us differently with him on the field. I do think we should be okay with Gallup, Lamb, and Brown though if Dak comes back to top-10 form.

Amari is just another example of a cowboy whose legendary status once gone far exceeds what was accomplished while here
I don’t like we only got a fifth but we didn’t lose Devonte like skill set

He was different than what we currently have and made the whole offense better. The 3 main receivers we have now all similar skill sets.

While Amari was a bit rougher cover he came with his own set of problems and frankly the numbers he’s putting up in Cleveland ain’t dwarfing lambs heck I like brown as well even though he’s least likely to get separation but he will battle

What a mess. We have a 2...at best....most often 2.5 mental midget with a body built by Snoop posing as a 1...we have a 3 that shouldn't have been resigned, who only catches sideline routes posing as a 2....we have a special teams WR that supposedly "blocks well" and ocasionally finds a squirrel nut because he has caught thousands of balls with the backup QB posing as a 3. This corp will do nothing....especially given who is about to return at QB next week. If Booger and Chuckles resign Snoop, they both formally need to be committed....other teams swap out and retool WR corps on the fly. The Eagles had the worst WR corp the last couple of years....look now. Watch and see how long we stay saddled with this bottom 5 mess.
Do the Arlington Jonesboys fans still like letting go Amari Cooper and franchise tagging Dalton Schultz?

I mean they could be better but I’m
Not seeing their problem last night. If Rush hits Lamb on the sideline that’s money. Hard to gauge them with a backup.

Not much happening with the starter either except stats!!!! When's the last time we won multiple playoff games nevermind lol

Its not a slight at gallup its really frustration with our hill billy gm. Who gave away a real #1 for a 5th rd pick and signed an average #2 coming off an acl to a long term deal

I get not signing Cooper if it means reducing cap on offensive skill players. But then we spend more to keep Gallup and Schulz, two guys who owe their success to the double teams Cooper would take. We spent the money, but on inferior players.
Cooper, Lamb, Brown and Ferguson/Hendershot, or Gallup, Lamb, Brown, Schulz?
I'll take the first group every day.

We have yet to see this set up: Prescott - Lamb, Gallup and Washington. This was supposed to be the one.

The receivers, including the TE's, have been inconsistent in the set up with Noah Brown looking good because he's a backup with a backup QB.

I didn't see any of the WR's on the field when the Eagles drove the field to put a final nail in the coffin.

The problem isn't the WR corps, at least not yet because we haven't seen them, but the illusion this was a contending defense. You can have all of the stats but the true test of any defense is can they stop the other team and get the ball back for their offense when the game is on the line? So far, the answer is no when playing another contender. Pass rush is only part of the complete defense. This one is not complete yet.

Gallup probably won't be fully back until next year. The usual thing for players coming off that type of injury. Hard to trust your body early on. It will probably effect his route running and his cuts. I doubt if Jones and Co. accounted for this.

At the end of the day, Cooper was the insurance policy. They should not have traded him. We saw this same erosion of the WR corp when Owens and Bryant were sent off. The offense struggled the following season.

How much Prescott can make them all better is the real question.

The Cowboys have an offensive scheme/OC issue. The offense is archaic at best. The whole thing needs to be thrown out and modernized. Until it is it won’t matter who you plug in outside.

The defense is only part of it. It took the offense 27 plays to get a field goal (6 possessions). You can't have that type of sparse offensive output if you want to keep your defense fresh. The first five possessions had 5 plays or less (with 2 INTs). That said, we certainly knew that the linebackers would be tested in this game. We saw a similar thing last year...when the offense was broke in the first half the defense had more plays to defend over the length of the game.

At the end of the day you have to give the Eagles credit. It was nothing fancy. They simply did what they do well (run with RPOs) and take full advantage of short fields due to turnovers. I figured that the Cowboys had to survive the first, and especially the second quarter (the strongest for the Eagles so far). They did not...and that was essentially the game. Good rally at the end but simply not enough firepower on offense. They were fortunate that the Eagles didn't get near 40 points with all the turnovers.

I'd be more worried if they don't beat the Eagles on Christmas Eve at home. The '92 Cowboys lost the first meeting against Philly at the Vet 31 - 7...when they committed 5 turnovers on the night.

All is not lost, but Prescott is definitely going to have to ball when he comes back. The way that GBay is playing lately, reaching 7 - 2 is definitely possible.

It's "corps". Corp is an abbreviation for corporal or corporation.
