Thanks for sharing that with us. But I am confused. I took the july bar and got my results in nov. The only other time Texas gives the bar is in Feb, and those results havent been released yet, so how did she "just" pass?

well she just took it last month and she just told me she passed. where can i see a schedule?

she said she got a letter.

I dont know man. They sent me a letter, but the results were posted faster on the internet, and then i got the letter about 5 days after. But you can prob just do the math and see that aside from a slightly lower # of examinees taking the exam in Feb than July, there is no reason to think that the results would be released that much quicker of a turn around than the july exam. In fact, the Board of Law Examiners is quite the anal bunch (to say the least) and I think that both exams have a specific/same amount of time to be graded, and then all are released at once. So I dont know, maybe she's just confident, whatever it is, I feel for her....it's a brutal wait!

Many teams are able to have productive offenses without a great WR. I'm all for balance. I'm all for drafting a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round. I get the feeling that many here want to draft a WR at #22, no matter what. I don't think that lends itself to balance.

The only teams that were good without a great WR either ran the west coast offense or had a good defense. The NFL is a passing league and a great WR opens up the whole offense because he backs off the safeties and draws double coverage. This opens up the running game and room for the other WR and or TE.

The same is true for a great RB that sucks up the safeties. This opens up the WR's and TE to break some deep plays on play action.

On defense a great CB allows the defense to rotate toward the other side and a great pass rusher allows the DB's to only cover for shorter times.

Bottom line is that the elite players are what separate the teams. That is why I am a proponent of trading up for elite players and this year I would trade up for Johnson. The drafts have been more productive lately when Dallas was taking Newman, Williams, Ware etc..... These guys make a difference and you usually get them in the top 10.

Falling back IMHO only works when there are several that you have rated the same and can still get one by dropping back a few slots in the tier. Or, when you fleece a lousy team like Buffalo for their first in the next draft. How many of you were rooting for Buffalo that year they drafted Losman to lose every game so that we could have a high pick? That pick became Ware and he is now the cornerstone of the Defense.

I hope Jerruh makes a statement with this draft and moves up for an impact player on offense to replace the aging players on that side of the ball. If it isn't Johnson then I hope it is Peterson or Landry. I almost cried when they passed on Maroney and Jackson in recent drafts.

Actually the contract in and of itself is not a job. Now you could say that the required act is a job but the contract in and of itself.

The point ive been trying to make is that the relationship between an NFL franchise and a player is not a employer/employee relationship.

Are players without contracts 'in the NFL?' is the question.
Legally, yes, it is an employer/employee relationship.

My gosh, it's the mathematical equation for a 30 yard slant.

Sorry HH. I couldn't resist.

Actually Hos i appreciated our discussion. It helped me clarify my stance. If you feel that WR is a top need then it is very reasonable that you want one in the first round.

And longevity wsa an important role. It is why i classified David Boston as a bust and Antone Davis, a good run blocker, a boom.
I enjoyed it too.

The Feb results aren't supposed to come out until May from what I've heard. And if results were out already I would be worried about a few friends to say the least.

They just took the Feb test 3 weeks ago, there's no way they're out.

Edit: whoops, sorry for churning this immortal thread back from the 2nd page. I was catching up and forgot it was on the 2nd page.

me thinks Fuzzy is lying about his girlfriend that he's lying about

actually i misunderstood her. you have to understand summer this is something that her and I having been going through for about a year now. she took it last year and didnt pass it. it ws devestating for the both of us. neither of us fail at pretty much anything and I was thinking after her scores on the LSAT that this would be no problem for her.

between paying for an extra apartment in austin and driving her back and forth to it for he prep course and the general stress involved thats been going on for the last year I guess you could say I probably want her to pass more than she does. we were talking about some things and she said she wanted to coelebrate. i misinterpreted things a bit.

I personally could care less if you think I m a liar but I wont stand for you saying it in a public forum. If you really want I could display some of the PMs you sent me concerning her a week or so back and I suppose that would give a true flavor of what kind of person you really are. but im not into games like that. really im stressed out enough as it is and im done with this thread.

everyone else i hope you had a good weekend. i know i did.
