WR Seems to be the Likely/necessary choice at 12

I see fans and YouTubers are jumping for joy with the ESPN mock of Tet and Henderson. I don’t get the excitement. Do the Cowboys want to be the Miami Dolphins. Big play passing team that can run the ball but get crushed in the playoffs because they suck in the trenches.

What if we take yet another TE?

Your first sentence is wrong in so many ways. What you're shouting for is just picking a player willynilly because you think he's the best available w/ no regards for anything else.

If we can't stop the run(and we can't), this will be yet another season of spinning our wheels. No WR is more important than building up the Dline.

I agree with you, but we are also one CD Lamb away from having virtually no weapons on offense. I dont think either is wrong. I have read this is a deep DT class though. As always it depends on who is available.

I'm of the opinion all 3 are gone by pick 12. All it takes is two teams that want a WR.

Yeah I dont think it's unrealistic to see Jeanty, Warren and Tet gone. I'd be more suprised if Golden is also gone, but a 4.29 might be the driving factor.

Just remember. The Jones’ cheapness seeps into everything, including the draft. Legit #2 receivers are getting over $20m a year these days. Big and little would love to take a WR at 12 and know they can have them on the cheap for 5 years.

No, it's not wrong.
By the time we get to 12, the TOP player at DLine will likely be gone.
Mason Graham is the only consensus DL worthy of a TOP 15 Pick, all the rest are rated as late 1st round prospects.
If we go there, we will be reaching and overdrafting.
With WR, the TOP players will likely be available at 12. Hunter will be gone by then but all the other Top ranks should be there.
By going WR at 12 you not only fill a need but you are doing so by not reaching.
Sounds like a perfect opportunity to trade back and stockpile picks to me. WR is one of those positions that I feel is easy to find in later rounds unless you are talking about a generational type talent at WR like a Randy Moss or Megatron, and I don't see anyone of that caliber in this draft.

I would just about bet the farm that if Golden is there he will be the pick. That being said, I wouldn't bet 2 cents on predicting anything the Jones Boys are going/not going to do.

This team pretends they go BPA. They do not other than when something really out of the ordinary happens. WR has been a big need for a couple of years. WR has been a huge need this offseason. WR was for all intents and purposes completely ignored in free agency. I'd say they are zeroing in on a WR at #12. It's not what I would do because I'm not sure any of these guys would have gone in the first round last year and really don't think in the top 25 (I'm categorizing Hunter as a CB), but they don't care about BPA so they might.

If we don't take a RB before receiver, that will tell you that Jerral and Schotty were lying about run game focus.

Which of course they were.
Not necessarily. This is a RB heavy draft. We should get a good RB in the 2nd if we pass on one in the 1st.

You don't know until the 11 in front are gone.
This plus I would have to be convinced that a WR was truly BPA and that a trade down wasn't available.

In short, WR isn't my top priority but I get the premise that the top choice for other positions may be gone by then.
