PWInsider didnt break the story. Wrestlingobserver did.

and this means what?

You traded in one internet rumor site for another?

The sooner you stop taking these internet sites as gospel the better off you'll be.

The point is it doesn't matter which one you took as the truth there was never any shot of Lesnar being involved in Rock vs. Cena last night.

The younger guys should be ashamed ......... two guys that can barely walk, HHH and Undertaker, stole the show.

Eh...maybe...maybe not.

It's two of the best performers ever in a match that each year for the last 4 years has been very very difficult to top.

1 because of whose in it and 2 just because of the mystic of the entire thing.

I mean Punk and Jericho have nothing to be ashamed about. They put on a dang fine match up. It's just tough to put on a show bigger than Takers streak at WM.

Only one I even want to see.

I hear HBK did a wonderful job standing around in a stripped shirt though.

Actually I thought he did a fantastic job of selling the importance of the match up and just how stressful it was to know what they would have to do to one another to win it.

I didn't think he was the highlight of the match or anything but I thought he added a very nice background of emotion to the importance and emotion of the match up.

The first match was really funny. I was looking forward to that as it had the potential to be one of the better matches so surprised they ended that the way they did. They could have had that ending to the Rhodes Big show snooze fest rather then 2 guys who can actually put on a good match, but it was really funny so who cares.

Surprised they gave The Rock a clean win, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. For a year leading up to this i was 100% sure he was only there to build up super Cena even more. Why have the guy who's not even going to be around beat your top guy?

HHH taker was the best match by far, amazing how you know who is going to win and yet they make it exciting anyways, that's greatness

Yes it is. That is how you seperate the truly great from the guys who are just real good.

I was very surprised, and disappointed, that they actually let The Rock win last night. It just doesn't make sense to me, on any level, for him to have beaten Cena.

I mean...whoopie. The Rock won. Yay. Now we'll see him again sometime around Mania next year. Awesome.

Doesn't really do much for me. I guess he could be on RAW tonight but if he's on RAW tonight and it's just to set up another year long crap with Cena for next year....ugh.....right now that's my biggest worry. That they're just going to do Rock vs. Cena II next year.

Just doesn't make sense unless The Rock was coming out tonight to inform the world that he was coming back to wrestling full time, which we all know isn't going to be happening.

Just dumb booking, IMO.

No it means I don't take it for gospel. PWInsider rarely reports inaccurate stories, I can't vouch for wrestlingobserver. They probably decided at the last minute they didn't want to end Wrestlemania with an interference.

They do?

Interesting.

Cause I don't recall any you've claimed here that they've gotten right yet.

But enough about your internet dirt sheets that are useless unless they're reporting a blatantly obvious thing that pretty much the whole world already knows about....

What did you think of the show outside of being disappointed by Brock Lesnar not showing up?

Remove the first hour which was a big let down and it was the best mania in years. The dumb raw v sd match was bad too. They need to go ahead and merge the world and wwe titles, the whc opening mania is a joke.

HHH-Taker was so good it was a good show based on its merit alone, Jericho-Punk delievered and Rock-Cena had great crowd interaction.

I hope Cena turns heel. I th ink Rock winning was just something unexpected. Most thought Johnny Do Good would win but he didn't. Now he can switch to something different out of losing and it'll be ok. It won't affect the sale of those green shirts. Rock is just like Taker. He can show up when he wants, to do what he wants and fans are gonna love it because when he's not there it's just not as good. So you love the small doses of these guys coming back here and there because it's more entertaining. Shawn is the same. You want to see those guys.

Overall there I pretty much agree.

I as pretty surprised by the WHC opening the show and then even more surprised that they had Bryan lose it in like 15 seconds.

I feel bad for both of those guys, especially Sheamus, whose worked hard to get to be on Mania only to get to be in a match that took 15 seconds. Dang shame.

The RAW vs. SD for the GM thing went pretty much how I expected. Just a bunch of silly spots, chaos, and nothing good. Pure filler. I hate how they're buring Ryder though. Just a shame that they're wasting this guy.

I actually rather enjoyed the Big Show vs. Rhodes and Kane vs. Orton matches. The Kane vs. Orton wasn't quite as good as I thought it was going to be but I still felt it was pretty good and I was actually pleasantly surprised to see them give Kane a clean W over Orton.

I was definately happy to see Big Show finally get a big win at WM. He definately deserved it.

All and all the only head scratchers to me in the whole show were booking the WHC to open the show, and to send so quickly, and Rock going over Cena.

Yes I want to see them.

But you'll notice a difference when some people come back and what they did with Rock.

HBK in his final two Mania's went out to put over Taker and his Streak. He went out putting someone else over who would be there more than him.

When Foley returns from time to time it's always been to put someone over. You don't see Foley coming back for WM matches to beat guys who are there all the time. He did a great job of putting Orton and Edge over at different PPVs (Edge was at Mania in fact) on some of his returns.

Rock should have been there to put Cena over. There is no way around that. Rock will be on RAW tonight probably and then you won't see a thing from him for probably 8 or 9 months.

Rock is in that same place that Foley, HBK, Stone Cold, and others are to where he doesn't need to win matches anymore for people to still want to see them return and be part of shows.

I'm right there with you on wanting to see Cena turn heel because I think it would be the best thing for him at this point. But either way there is just no reason to put the Rock over him last night.

rock did put Cena over. For the first time in a long time Cena actually cut some nice promos during the build up. He's been harping on he "had" to win.it meant everything to him. He works harder, he's been there longer and on and on.

if John had won it would have just been back to the same old crap. Now there is an opportunity for them to change his gimmick even if only a little bit.

Rock will be there tonight. We'll see what happens.

Show vs Rhodes was much better than I expected it to be. Kane vs Orton I didn't have much expectations for as I have never been big on Kane and it certainly did not make me a believer. Orton deserves a bigger role at Mania next year although I still think they are waiting to WM30 to merge the titles in a Orton-Cena clash, it just makes sense at this point.

The rock win was simply a method to get John cena to improve his character. Not turn heel but act like when he's in a match, that he wants to win and not like a giant goof ball

even though the old school (attitude era) fans hate him the younger target audience of the wwe love him.

The WWE owed The Rock that one. He "lost" the WWE title twice at Wrestlemania to his greatest rival Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Rock shouldn't have gone over, I don't think. We will see tonight. I think they will announce Rock v. Cena II for Summerslam.

I was disappointed that there was no money in the bank match. the Brodus segment was lame. The women's match was lame...wish Trish could have been there instead.

Teddy vs John had some nice moments, could have been a little better, but all in all, what I expected. I can't believe the Miz is undefeated. I wonder if they are going to keep him that way for a while.

I missed the first match, my feed messed up....but I am glad Shaemus beat Bryan.

I was glad to see the Big Show win and not be made to look like a big goof, as in past Wrestlemanias.

It was great to see Orton lose, not because I was rooting against him, but because I expected him to win....I like when the WWE gives me a twist at the end of the match that I wasn't expecting.

I knew Taker would win, and the match was awesome. All 5 matches involving those 3 have been very good, EPIC even.

Punk/Jericho was great. I didn't think they would use a submission to end it....nice surprise.

The Rock/Cena was awesome. I didn't know who would win.....Rock was at home and Cena lost last year and is the face of the company.....still an all around great match and I was very much entertained.

One quick question, who won the Tag Title Dark Match before the PPV?

Miz won the match he was in......he is a very good young talent. I believe Del Rio is still recovering from injury.

Del Rio and talent should not be in the same sentance.
