I agree durability is a legitimate concern. I think it has to be in context though, Reggie Bush had legit durability questions, but when factoring in his rare gamebreaking ability most still felt he was more than worthy of a top five pick.

I think it is a similar situation with Ginn, sure there are durability concerns, which could cause a team to prefer a guy like Jarrett or Meachem, but in the end you don't take him off your board or drop him three rounds IMO.

How many teams dropped Bush from their board? How many teams are dropping Peterson to the third round?

Ginn didn't have durability issues during his college career other than the recent bonehead actions by his teamates, Ginn has been there on game day.

It is only conjecture to suggest that Ginn will be injury prone in the NFL IMO. Sure the tacklers are bigger and stronger in the NFL, Given Ginns' height/Frame and huge hands, I would speculate that Ginn will also become bigger and stronger when given the oportunity to mature, and the opportunity to participate in an NFL strength and conditioning program instead of going to class.

I would think a guy like Jurisak could get 10/15 lbs. of muscle on him. I don't know his familys' financial situation but alot of these college guys can't afford the food and supplements to maximize their physiques. You ever seen how much a box of EAS Myoplex or Met-rex cost?.

Remember Leon Lett?, he is a classic example. Once in the NFL these guys can afford a personal chef/nutritionist as well as supliments like Muscle Milk, Creatine, Gakic etc. While in college the 99cent double cheese burger is their best option unfortunately.

At big programs , this stuff is free upon request.

Myoplex and creatine is available and you can get more after your 30 day supply is done.

I witnessed this first hand at Purdue and can only imagine what a school with OSU's resources would supply its players.

I did not know it was legal for amatuer athletes to accept free products, if so that's fantastic for them, they are not cheap, I spend about $150.00 a month for my suppplements, wish I was playing college ball.

Its coming from the Athletic Department, not just going to a local GNC and saying, "I'm on the football team, hook me up".

You also have to eat at certain cafeteria's and adhere to a certain diets if you are trying to shed weight or gain it. This mostly applies to the frosh.

OK.....this next bit left me scratching the head...

Bowe has identical yardage and TDs from the same conference. Unless this is a typo, why is Meachem preferable? I don't necessarly disagree, just wondering.

Well Meachem did his against LSUs defense, while Bowe did his against Tennessees defense......LSU has by far a superior defense, thus, making Meachem's stats more impressive.

The big difference between Ginn and Bush is production. Sure they both have rare atheltic ability. Both seemed very small for their position, but Bush actually produced.....big. Ginn has not really produced. His numbers are blah. Now, I'll give him a bit of a break on not having a bunch of experience at WR.

Ginn wasn't hurt a lot in college....but I think the durability question is valid. How long has it been since his injury? Is he going to be a slow healer? In the NFL, every player is banged up most of the year. If Ginn can't handle it, then he's not going to be very valuable.

Now, I like Ginn. I think he has a ton of potential. He has more potential than any other WR not named Johnson in this draft. But while he has a ton of potential for greatness, he has a ton of potential to bust too.

That's why I think drafting him will be a risk at 22.

Bowe, Meachem, and Jarrett are safer picks....although not as likely to pay off big.

I'd much rather see us trade down (this is something I rarely like to see us do) in this draft. There's good value on the first day. I'd rather see us pick up another first day pick or two.

Then, I'd take either Rice, Hill, Smith, etc...... and an OG, CB, or S.
