Now brood about it and fulfill the destiny so many that come here achieve.

Offering a player 4-5 million less PER YEAR than he ultimately signed for elsewhere is hardly a legitimate "pursuit ".
It might be. Did the team that signed him overpay him? Opening day FA signings are often ridiculous. Just because some team pays a player a certain amount, that does not mean that player was worth that much.

I mean, this is serious misevaluation stuff.

This generation feels disrespected if you don't bring them an ice cream cake every day and tell them that they are the best, most important person in the world.

He says he doesn't listen to fans yet then says he saw some stuff online. Which is it. God it's not like he's pro bowl calibre. How many plays did he really make last year...

He made enough. If it's what was online that he was worried about, it's what the fans were saying more than anything that the team or their FO said. X needs to let it roll off his back and just continue to progress if he expects the top-tier level of respect he so craves. In spite of all that, it was Heath who would have been replaced and not Xavier if ET had come to Dallas. Seems like he might have figured that out, instead of playing butthurt.

The interview is a perfect example of why some players should not have a mic in front of themselves.

He may not have meant anything, but there is a skill in participating in interviews.

Knowing how to say nothing while talking. Skirting a question with obfuscation. Not everyone is microphone worthy.

Do you remember when Aikman first became a Cowboy? Man, in some interview he put himself in a world of poop by saying crapp he shouldn't be saying. He then hired a publicist, and never had a problem again.

It's a skill you can learn.

Until you learn the skill there is nothing wrong with shying away from the mic and listening to guys like Jason Witten to learn how to answer questions.

You can never go wrong in an NFL locker room by keeping your pie hole shut.

It's the world we live in. Everyone gets a participation medal. In my son's soccer leagues he kept getting the same participation medal for 11 years in a row until he was (14).

Why????

You would think he'd know better. ET > Heath, and that somehow hurt feelings lol.

Christ. Another butt hurt athlete.

"muh feelingz"

He's feeling "confident" but "disrespected".

If you want to impress fans, don't expect to do it by sharing your feelings. Try telling us how many hours a day you're studying tape. How many hours a day you're working out.

I think it's quite possible that Xavier Woods was uncomfortable with the idea that ET is a free safety and that's his position right now. He likely feared that he'd possibly have had to switch over to playing SS if ET came to Dallas. I suspect X was aware that Heath would be the odd man out but probably didn't want to expose that notion to Heath. In any case, I think his claiming "disrespect" is simply a coverup to keep Heath from harboring hard feelings over the mess that the ET fiasco created. I've got a hunch that X's feelings of "disrespect" will fade away in short order. ;)

Tell him to get over it.

There is and always will be someone better than you, Xavier.

Don't be so arrogant to think that your position is solidified.
