Woods and White may be competing for a final roster spot and then other to the PS. Or both could make the team or both to the PS. All depends on how many they keep at DL, and even OL, TE or if they keep 4 RB's or an extra WR or QB even.

Yeah I'm confused. This was supposed to be a huge steal and I thought he would push his way into starting lineup. Now he may go to ps?
Has he been hurt?

Honorable Mention Xavier Woods – It wasn’t a bad summer for Woods, but he just didn’t make any true standout plays. He’s in the right position and if he gets another interception or two, he’s probably five spots higher.

Xavier Woods has far too much talent for it to go unnoticed indefinitely. The cream always rises to the top. Woods will get his due sooner or later -- it's simply a matter of time more than anything else. One only needs to examine his college stats to become thoroughly convinced. He'll be fine.

^ what?

A guy they targeted in the 4th and were ecstatic to get in the 6th at a position of need will definitely have a roster spot.

Maybe so, but all the other teams passed on him also.
TC we shall see.
And I am not saying that to be negative, as I liked the pick and will be pulling for him to make the team and make an impact. However, I will temper my expectations until TC.

I think it would be very very hard for them to clear waivers on their way to the PS!

He was projected anywhere from a 2nd round draft, to a 3rd pick pre-draft. Then a 4th is where many thought, and Dallas wanted him. He slips to the 6th before Dallas selected him. And 31 other teams passed on all those rounds also.
Then he's considered a steal in the 6th round.

maybe he is, or will be. I am glad they drafted him, but I think people need to tap the brakes just slightly. There is a lot of competition in the secondary now, and all I was saying it may come down to a numbers game.

there are always players that look good, but just no where to have them on the roster. So let's see how TC pans out to see.
I think he will be fine, but want to to it during TC.

Nothing wrong with that.

I would have preferred Desmond King but X. Woods was still a big steal! He comes from a small school, maybe a year playing special teams and learning the Defense is all he needs.

Woods kinda seems like one of those players that may not show up much in OTAs and mini camp. Cant really play his game without pads... Watch his highlight, a lot of big hits.

lots o zone-hype on this guy...I hope the 90% of you with said hype are correct

Wasn't just the Zone. The Draft Show guys unanimously were excited for the pick especially in the 6th round. No one is saying he'll become a pro bowl Safety but there is a lot to work with, including the ability to cover and hit

I doubt that. I think both make the roster. You have to maximize cheap rookie contracts.

So paying and extra $300,000 to a vet player or saving $$$ on a rookie that could mean a mistake of not getting to the SB?
Give me that vet player, let the rookie learn on the PS.
On my pre TC 53, I have woods on the 53, White to PS. I have had it that way since the draft.
I am not against either one, I want them to work out. I am just a wait and see it on these 2.
