Xavier Woods

I could see Woods playing in some packages later in the season. Remember, we have virtually no veteran experience in the secondary outside of Byron Jones, and he's still learning. Heath and Frazier are still green, and Woods is not too far behind them. If Church or Wilcox were here, I'd say Woods sits a year. But with the inexperience and lack of depth, he may be pressed into duty sooner.

They don't have pads in OTA/Mini-camp practices and even in training camp they don't tackle.

Woods style of play will likely show up much better in the preseason games when he can hit/tackle.

Agreed. He's exceptional in the physical aspects of being a safety. There's also the likelihood that it'll take time for him to get acclimated with the Cowboys defensive philosophy and their system. His ball skills will also be plenty obvious in the preseason games. I can't wait to see that.
