Xavier Woods

Woods is balling. Woods and Jeff "hitman" Heath are becoming quite the duo. I love how well all of the defensive backs are playing. Woods is coming into his own and the sky is the limit. Woods will be a difference maker in the victory against Brees.

Let's just just say, purely hypothetical, and dont hate me for bringing it up, but if we did sign a certain FA FS in the offseason, would Woods or Heath start opposite ET?

If Woods keeps playing like he has been, I don’t think they would sign ET this offseason. Hypothetically speaking though, I think Woods would revert back to the role he played during his rookie season as a slot guy and Heath would start at SS opposite ET.

So happens on the radio today JJT spilled the beans on his talk with Richard regarding X Woods (paraphrase): The game is starting to slow down for X. Woods is a young player who hasn't played a whole lot at FS in the NFL. Also, he came from La Tech which requires an adjustment to level of play. Nutshell - game slowing down (locked in mentally), playing faster, making plays as a result.

Earl Thomas would be such an upgrade at the S position. Big Time.

Cowboy fans haven't seen that level of talent at that position in YEARS.
