If everyone sang the National Anthem the same, it would be rediculous. I think you sing it from whatever brand you feel it, from whatever nationality you desire, this celebrates the diversity of the US. Just don't screw up the words.

BS. This is the National Anthem not some pop song. There is no such think as a politically correct way to sing national anthem. I don't know where some people get such ridiculous ideas. You sing it as it was written 196 years ago.

No song scares singers more than performing the National Anthem live. Some fear it so much they lip synch to a pre recording.

I know. I have performed the National Anthem live at a hockey game. I've sung in front of thousands of people before and I thought I would pee my pants I was so nervous.

The people came up afterward and asked me if I'd like to do it again sometime. I said, "No thanks".

Been there, done that, and once was enough. Completely nerve wracking.

BUT... job one is learn the damn words.
