I turned the channel 7-10 seconds into the Anthem; with this I just kind of had to see if it could get any worse and made the mistake of watching a good portion (up until Slash came out). I guess they were trying to upstage Aguilera(?) for worst parody of music.

Whitney's was great, but prerecorded. If Christina had prerecorded hers, it would be perfection too.

I like when a singer sings it live. It's not perfect, but its done with their true voice and not in some studio making it perfect. I think Carrie Underwood did a fantastic job last year singing live.

Just a total screwup by the NFL all around. That is what you get for trying to be flashy and modern and all that garbage instead of focusing on just doing your job well.

Any singer that tries to change the national anthem in any way because they want to show off or make an impression or anything like that deserves 6 months with the Taliban as a personal towel.
