I hate to break it to you man, but if Owens were going to be released, he would be gone right now. They'd want to get it over with, not drag it out. They're not going to debate it for a length of time and then drop the ax.

Well the belief is that he creates distractions within the lockerrom, his overall attitude, and people have to worry about "keeping him happy" rather than winning football games.

That and he is always a hot topic with the media which creates more distractions.

It is things like this that make me like Jerry. A lot of people like to talk about how he refuses to admit that he is wrong or that he is a domineering control freak. He may be those things to some degree but it is also that he really cares what the people he works with think and is willing to do what it takes to make it work.

I know a lot of people liek to label TO as a cancer or a problem or a lot of even worse things but I think that Jones sees him as one of his players. He has shown again and again that he will stick by his players through most anything. Irvin has talked about that at length.

He doesn't want to give up on one of his players and he is calling in his other players to try and work it all out. At the end of the day if those players say no I will bet you Owens goes. I cannot blame him for taking this route either way.
