Good for you Rusty!. Rooting for the Cowboys is still fun but don’t ever become one of those guys here that really lets the losses affect them negatively. I can see the younger guys being more emotional about it but I PROMISE YOU WILL OUTGROW IT!….and just take the outcomes for what they are.

Yup, and I suppose that it's lucky that I've never seen success because it means I really should find some more hobbies knowing that I probably won't see success with this team. I will still watch and all, but more hobbies would be good. Also, the convention in Chicago I go to is always a great time for me.

Then leave

So in your mind, a poster who posts facts about the Cowboys should be removed from the site? LOL.

Which of these facts are you disputing?
  1. This organization is rotten from head to toe (see #3)
  2. The loser culture is real in Dallas (see #3)
  3. 26 years and counting w/o a div playoff win

When the Cowboys of the 90s where killing it, I didn’t watch as many other teams games as I do now

I watch many more NFL game of other teams that are on top because in the end I’m more a fan of the game itself than anything else. It’s a treat to watch a game like the Bills and Chiefs to see football and quarterback play at its highest levels.

I do too, but I'm still of course a Cowboys fan. I need to go to more conventions lol. That's always a big thing for me.

Simplification:

Dallas team record when Dak throws more than 40 pass attempts 2020-2022: 3 win 7 losses

So while stats may falsely make Dak look like an 'elite' QB, the fact is Dak passing a lot is not the formula for winning. That has been shown during Cooper Rush's 5 games filling in as a starter this season and Dak's first 2 games back from injury.....yet either Dak is changing running plays to passing plays or the Dallas organization is hell bent on trying to let Dak be Dan Marino.....regardless the fact this team can't get it through their heads is why we continue to see them fail.

Yeah I've said several times we don't have a quarterback on the roster who can win playoff games but that said rush would have pulled that game out yesterday there was no pressure in the pocket whatsoever

Take the ball out of Dak's hands and get it to your playmakers in space. So lean heavy on the run game, short passes and be opportunistic about deep throws. Dak Prescott isn't Peyton Manning and will never be Peyton Manning. From the looks of it he is more of a discount Kurt Cousins.

OP is a low key Eagles fan.

Even if he is, he's not wrong.

There is no coherent roster plan, team building plan here. They throw money at the guys they drafted, they don't seem to have much of an emphasis on certain positions. Take Gregory for example, they thought DE was so important that they were willing to spend $70 million on him but after he left, they nickel and dimed the position. The point isn't to suggest Fowler wasn't a decent signing. It's to suggest that their plan on where to sink their money isn't really based on a coherent plan and philosophy but rather whether or not they draft the guy. They seem to think that if they give a second big contract, it validates how awesome they think they are at drafting.

They aren't a particularly disciplined team. They aren't particularly well coached. Jerry puts just enough talent on the field to overcome these things and not suck. But that seems to be the ceiling. Jerry and company have zero clue how to get this team through the ceiling they keep smashing their head on season after season after season.

A huge problem is the hype machine. They were 6-2. The 6 wins were against bad teams or good teams having bad seasons (Bengals). The 2 losses were to the only decent teams they played. They are paper tigers and get exposed for what they are against good teams.

that's what I have been saying.....Jerry and Stephen keep fans interested and engaged. look at this board. all the Dak haters are engaged. they follow cowboys. they watch games, so that they can scrutinize Dak. Jerry is going Cha Ching. its been the same for 28+ years. I said before the season, I don't care. I still don't care. yesterday's loss didn't bother me. because I don't care any more. I know how this story ends. just like it always does under Jerry's lack of guidance and lack of leadership.

in the meantime, Cowboys are the most valued franchise in the WORLD. and haven't done squat in 28+ years. its not Romo. Its not Parcells. its not Garrett. its not McCarthy. its not Dak. its JERRY.

I'm not sure we beat the Rams, Giants, or Bengals with Dak playing. I can't confidently say we'd be 6-3 right now if Dak played the whole season.

The team as a whole just plays different when Dak is in there and it's not for the better.

I said before Dak came back (I'll have to find the post) that I wouldn't be surprised at all if the team changes for the worse overall even if they do score a few more PPG.

Agree they play differently without Dak. I also thought they played differently that one game Quinn coached. They seem more focused or disciplined or something.

Almost like it's scripted anyway. They know they have fans by the throats, so they can script the matches all they want. Maybe that's what Snyder is wanting to expose. I hope he does.
Yep I would sure like somebody to expose it because it is so blatant now that it's totally ruining the game.

Unbelievable holding going on all game long and as soon as we get a first down and overtime bang we get called and then the most blatant pass interference The guy is tackling him before the ball is even there and there is no call we didn't stand a chance in hell of winning that game.

The turnovers we had early kept the refs from having to get involved things were close but the league wanted Aaron Rodgers to be rejuvenated and viewed as a force again by the casual fan and sure enough they fixed it so he was

It’s not untrue. I knew that Aaron Rodgers would play well enough to beat these guys. As you noted it has been 27 years of rinse, lather repeat. This team is the very definition of futility. And it is a direct consequence of ownership.

Heck Rusty I got tons of hobbies More than I know what to do with.

But I grew up following the Dallas Cowboys from the '60s when it was real football and we had true heroes on the field and coaching our team.

The way this officiating is manipulating these games is absolutely criminal and ruining my desire to watch football at all.

No matter how many hobbies you have if you're a real Cowboys fan it just doesn't take the sting out of losses like this especially to this team.

No it wasn't a championship game with the weather being a huge factor like the ice bowl but nonetheless it was another one in a long line of games in Green Bay manipulated by the referees.

I've had the attitude lately of "that's just the way it's going to be" with JJ running things. I gave up several years ago. I'm solidly in the "we'll never win with him running the team" camp.

But the Cowboys have always been my team. I ride and die with them, have for 50 years now. I keep the hope alive, and yes, I got emotional after a loss yesterday for the first time in years.

They suckered me back in this year.

I wonder if it'll ever come out, and perhaps that's why they're quieting down about the Snyder saga. If that's the dirt that he has on everyone, the League might be finished. I doubt fans would stick around and watch the sport any longer if that was the case. Also, players would likely have a massive class action suit against all the owners. It's all been fishy, and now, well, if that's what Snyder is on about, he might have the killing bullet for the League itself.
