Here's another pic from the Niners game; look at the left side of Geoff Swaim's helmet; it sure looks to me like it has a greenish tint:

Just for the heck of it, I thought I'd compare the Cowboys pants to those of the Dolphins. These pix are unretouched, and posted exactly as I found them online:

I admit the Dolphin pants are more green than ours, but can anyone honestly say our pants are more silver than green?

Go find pics from when the sun was shining and tell me what you see then. Before the sweat and stadium lights take over. As far as the helmets, they are silver, like always. It probably is the green grass reflecting of it creating an illusion of green.

All of the Cowboys pics are from the Niner game, which was played outdoors, under the sun. The Dolphins also play in an open air stadium, just like the Niners.

I know, but the pic you posted is later in the evening with the lights on. There are pics of the game from early on that show the pants as more silver due to sun. You can also view highlights that show the same thing.

OK, but my point is not that the pants sometimes look green and sometimes look silver. I concede that point. My point is, the pants should NEVER look green. The whole reason Tex added the shade was so the pants would look silver-blue on TV rather than flat gray. The green no longer does that. So why keep it?

Because it still looks great on TV.

I'm going to wrap up my thoughts with this post because this topic is a tired beaten horse.
I love them all. It's our team, our history and our tradition.

Here's a great thread from 2012.
http://cowboyszone.com/threads/football-101-the-dallas-cowboys-uniforms-evolution.233416/

With this, here is my last visual contribution.
First, our colors in RGB Values.

Second, the Silver Green from 1986 till now.
It has lived on through Russell Athletic, Apex, Reebok and Nike.

Now, like I have said, I love them all. I can live with any combination, but if we were to change
give me 1969.
