You do realize we are most recently a 4-12 team. That is our reality. You do realize that we just witnessed Matt Cassell, Brandon Weeden and broken up/less than stellar tony Romo last year? You do realize that we haven't won a home game in over a year? We've created a turnover in every game thus far. It's called progress and optimism. A lot should be said of beating a team you should and winning the turnover battle.
We have had 50% of the success of all of last year in 3 games this year. I don't care if it's the Bears or not. Eagles beat a injury bitten team in Pittsburgh and they're not apologizing about their win. Decent teams should be able to beat bad teams. We're a decent team and we beat a team we should beat. We didn't play down to their level and make it close. We beat them.
We're not 2014, at least not yet. Don't forget in 2014 there wasn't a lot of optimism in the first month of the season. We got gangster slapped all over AT&T stadium by the Niners in Game 1, barely beat the titan's, was down heavily against the Rams and Texans. Won both of those games and then got our confidence in Seattle and went on to have a good season. So it doesn't matter how you get wins or who against. getting wins back to back and stringing a couple of wins together will get you momentum and confidence.
Also each game it seems like we're getting better. New York we seemed to move the ball well but not score and not complete the game. Washington our running game started coming on and our defense closed out the skins. Last night our running game was excellent, Dak played great, defense did well. If not for Terrence Williams fumble the score would have been more lopsided.
Dak is a rookie and hasn't turned the ball over once and is getting better each game. That in itself is optimistic and gives hope for this season and the future. What a difference between this year and last year with Weeden playing. Dak is a gift that I didn't expect to get. I'm loving that kid.
