You all realize we only beat Chicago right?

We beat Chicago's B team. Cutler was out, Jeffery was hurt, and about half of the defense missed the game. That said, we looked good and there is room for optimism. I think the SB talk is more about the NFC than the Cowboys. Plug Romo, Lawrence, McClain, and Gregory in the lineups and I wouldn't call it crazy to suggest we've got a shot. CAR and AZ haven't looked very good, and they projected to be the two biggest obstacles. That said, I wouldn't be surprised by us going 8-8 and missing the playoffs either.
They also played our backup OL & horrible DL, so i would say we were about even.

I am proud of this teams performance yesterday but I don't think most of you realize how bad Chicago is. With the injuries they have they'll be competing with Clevland for the #1 pick. I'm usually not the debbie downer guy and I am proud of how this team performed but I expected this team to win yesterday. I mean if the game was close yesterday then I'd really be worried. Some of the posts I'm reading on here are the same as when we beat Seatle back in 2014. The real test for this team will be weeks 5 and 6 when we play Cincinnati and Green Bay but until then hold back on the Super Bowl runs and Dak over Romo conversations.
So it counts as less of a win? So the loss to the Giants should also count as less of a loss? Anytime you get a win in this league you take it. Doesn't matter how you got it. In this case we won with our backup QB. I'll take it and continue to enjoy it.

Dallas Cowboys Weekly when I was a kid. Only problem was that in Virginia it usually came the day after the following Sundays game!

I subscribed to that for years. Yeah, some weeks it barely made it before the next game. I don't recall it throwing cold water on wins just hours after they happened, as if I really shouldn't enjoy it much. Thankfully, I've got the internet to do that for me now. ;)

Losing is contagious and so is winning. I realize that we have a legitimate shot at being 3-1 in a week. Tough teams come up soon enough but if we have a winning record I like our chances against some of these teams. The difference between a 2-1 team and a 1-2 team can be very minor but I bet you we will be much more confident as a 2-1 team than we would if we were 1-2.

I didn't see anyone suggesting the Cowboys were on their way to the superbowl or suggesting that this was an amazing victory. We may have beaten their B team, but they played our "B" team too. This is a team with no Randy Gregory, no Demarcus Lawrence, no Tyron Smith, no Scandrick, no Tony Romo, and we didn't resign Greg Hardy.

Dak stepped in this game and we finally had something that resembled a dominant victory-- the first in a very long time.

regardless of how much sugar you try to put on your wheaties, there's always someone who feels the need to pee in them just the same.

let people enjoy the win. you can get back to dogging the team later.

Seattle was busy yesterday, the Bears was our only option. Seriously, the team did exactly what they should have done, they beat a bad team. There is no good reason to find a way to make it a bad thing.

We were 4-12 last season and have had only one winning season the past 6 years and we were 1-1 heading into last nights game. There's no gimme's in the NFL especially playing with a rookie QB and every win especially for a team like the Cowboys that struggles to get wins is a precious win.

Chicago is bad, but we completely controlled the game and the fact is that we saw a lot of young players progress.

Dak looked better. Zeke looked 10x better and seemed to really get the zone blocking scheme. Collins looked good. Chaz Green looked good.

It would have been very easy to look sloppy out there and outside of T-Will's fumble, we looked...at the very least...cohesive.

You realize we comfortably beat Chicago without our best pass rusher, corner, left tackle, all Pro QB while starting a rookie 4th round QB?

The only troubling things about the win last night was how we almost allowed the Bears back in the game after Twill's fumble and Hoyer put up some big numbers on our defense. He passed 317 yards with 2 TD's and we didn't record a sack against him. We're not going to win many games this season if we don't start getting a pass rush.
