You all realize we only beat Chicago right?

I am proud of this teams performance yesterday but I don't think most of you realize how bad Chicago is. With the injuries they have they'll be competing with Clevland for the #1 pick. I'm usually not the debbie downer guy and I am proud of how this team performed but I expected this team to win yesterday. I mean if the game was close yesterday then I'd really be worried. Some of the posts I'm reading on here are the same as when we beat Seatle back in 2014. The real test for this team will be weeks 5 and 6 when we play Cincinnati and Green Bay but until then hold back on the Super Bowl runs and Dak over Romo conversations.

My post obviously negative and I should of made it clear that I am happy with the win but my point is beating Chicago isn't the same as beating Seattle.
Actually it is. A "1" is still added to the win column no matter who you beat.

You do realize that the Cowboys were/are just as banged up as the Bears right?. Add the suspensions and the Cowboys last night were missing a minimum of 7 starters. QB, RT, RG (most of game), MLB, DE, DE, CB

Lol. When you put it like that... Yeesh lol

For the record, the Steelers were missing a lot of starters yesterday too.
As were the Eagles. They didn't have Ertz or Matthews, two key starters on offense, and a starting corner was out I believe. Truth is all four teams (us, Sheagles, Cubs, Steelers) were missing players.

We argue months over Romos career and the roster and coaching he had around him. I still have in trust in Romo and I'm excited we've found our future in Dak not many teams can be that fortunate. But I still think Romo is the better QB today and this has a better shot to win Romo than with Dak. Now that may change as Dak adjusts even more to NFL defenses but the point is I trust Romo more to win me a game against one of the best teams in the league than I do with Dak currently.
A fine, measured response from a Romo fan. And with a dab of optimism.
Yes, lad, in a fair world, Romo would come back for the accolades he deserves amd has worked hard for.
Do I think he is a good QB when healthy? Yes!
Am I glad we have a developing QB In Dak? Yes!
Let's hope for the best. And root for both players.

We beat San Fran next week this exact thread will be repeated.

Again.

"YOU REALIZE IT WAS *ONLY* THE 49ERS, RIGHT?!"

Yes, I realize that. Today Colin Cowherd said the Cowboys "only beat the worst team in football" and that they will lose to the 49ers next week.

He also said Dallas lost to the best team they've played- the Giants. The same Giants team that lost to the Commanders, should have lost to the Cowboys, and was a blocked field goal away from also losing to the Saints.

I can argue the Cowboys should be 3-0 and the Giants should be 0-3. Bottom line: the Cowboys have to beat whoever is on their schedule. Funny, nobody mentions the Patriots who, for all these years, have gotten fat on AFC East teams and for many years basically started every season with six wins in the bag.

I still believe in my heart if Terrance Williams runs out of bounds, the way he was kicking that day, Bailey makes the FG to win that game.

Yes, Dallas wins that game. I just hope that doesn't end up being the NFC East tiebreaker.

We beat Chicago's B team. Cutler was out, Jeffery was hurt, and about half of the defense missed the game. That said, we looked good and there is room for optimism. I think the SB talk is more about the NFC than the Cowboys. Plug Romo, Lawrence, McClain, and Gregory in the lineups and I wouldn't call it crazy to suggest we've got a shot. CAR and AZ haven't looked very good, and they projected to be the two biggest obstacles. That said, I wouldn't be surprised by us going 8-8 and missing the playoffs either.
Our starting qb was out, our starting MLB was out, our starting CB was out, our starting LT was out and we lost our starting LG at the half.... what's your point?

You know what my point was: Chicago is awful and was destroyed by injury when we played them.

Well it's obvious from the posts most of y'all just read the title and not my post. Enjoy the win, I know I am especially after last year. Enjoy the fact that we have found our future with Dak and Zeke. Enjoy the fact the we have a legit shot at the playoffs and the season has promise. All I was trying to say was Chicago is a very bad team and the Super Bowl run and Dak over Romo posts just tap on the brakes.
Sorry.... I was guilty of that myself.

For a 4 win team without its starting quarterback.......there should be excitement. We won 1 game without Romo last year...... I didn't expect to win much more than that without him. So fans should be excited. No shame in being excited in a wide open NFL where the Eagirls are one of the best teams.
