I know the season is not nearly over, but what do you do during the Off Season (Pre-draft).

What trades? Who gets resigned? What free agents do you pickup.

I trade Marion Barber for a top 12 pick (for McClain) and a 3rd rounder.

I trade Ken Hamlin for a early 2nd round pick.

I resign Austin to a 6 year deal.

I resign Sensabaugh to a 2 year deal.

Re-negotiate Ratliff's deal.

Resign Marcus Spears to a 3 year dael

Resign Stephen Bowen to a 2 year deal

Resign Junior Siavii to a 2 year deal.

People let go:
Pat McQuistan
Cory Procter
Montrae Holland
Jason Hatcher
Alan Ball
Sam Hurd
Pat Watkins

Well that is definitely a fantasy with those trades....other than that I'd make sure that they keep Pat Watkins around. Other than that big return :banghead: the guy has been money on punt coverage.

Marion Barber wouldn't bring a 2nd round pick right now, much less a 1st and a 3rd. Are you freaking kidding me?

I stopped right there.

Bring in Julius Peppers sign for 5 years: $55 Million

Resign Miles Austin: 6 years: 32 Million

Get rid of Barber, and trade him for a 3rd rounder he doesn't deserve to play here anymore.

I thought the 6 Powerball numbers and me was a fantasy.:laugh1:

Yeah, this sounds like Jerry, making the same mistakes over and over and over and over and over...

This is typical Jerry and part of the problem.
A player flashes in a season and Jerry throws the farm at him. Then next year his production falls and you have a high priced dud you don't want to bench when he plays like crap.

See Marion Barber.

Are you saying don't resign Austin? because that is ridiculous, maybe a 3-4 year Deal instead of 6, but if Austin stopped producing after the Atlanta and KC games I would understand considering not resigning him, but he has been unstoppable since the KC Game, another 110 yard game with a TD yesterday.
4 games with 100+ yards in 8 starts, call me crazy but that doesn't sound like a fluke.

Resigning Sensabaugh is needed, who knows what we will get in the draft and a 2 year deal is not long.

I think they need to carefully address the coaching situation here before they go overboard with any offseason additions or subtractions with personnel.

Pretty close, thats is similar to what I would do. I would also do this. Considering you can get those deals for ken hamlin & barber.

1, 1 for barber, 2, 2 or 3 for ken hamlin, 3, 3 for barber, 3 compensation pick for canty, 4, 4 compensation pick for burnett linebacker, 6, 6 or 7 compensation pick for keith davis, 7

I then use a 3rd and a 4th to move up in the 1st round to get an impact player on our own 1st rounder, I then use the other pick to move up in 2nd round for another impact player, that leaves you with a 1, 1, (2 impact players), 2, 3, 3, 4, 6, 7

This team needs impact players like we got in 92 with russell maryland and alvin harper, etc.... Plus some type of trade or sign free agents like we did in 92 for charles haley & thomas everett.

I would draft a big huge mean nasty OT, a free safety, a big mean nasty OG, a young speedy wr (that has explosive ability as a punt & kickoff returner) with speed to burn and stretch defenses. You might possibly be able to trade crayton for another high draft pick. I also would go get a 4th rounder in a young big bruising FB that is similar to the Moose. You may have to draft another kicker too.

Be careful big dog;

I still think that barber needs to be traded in a year or 2, he is starting to get beat up, eventually he is going to wear down big time.

If you can get something for barber and get a good rb in place along with a 3rd rounder, why not make that move; look at what the 2 runners mccoy for the eagles and the denver broncos number one draft pick moreno i think

and I would rather cash out now and get something of value than wait a season or two and get a 4th round pick.
