If I'm the Owner/GM, I would do the following:

1. Listen to all trade offers. It doesn't mean you have to make a trade, but you always listen.

2. Ensure my scouting department is looking at offensive linemen, particularly those that are strong in run blocking. It's become apparent that at their age, or whatever, our offensive line begins to break down against the run as the season wears on. We need to start a youth movement, and it appears as if Doug Free is going to be leading that movement. Fortunately our line is still good enough that it doesn't require total rebuilding - we can remain competitive and even improve as we restructure our offensive line.

3. No real needs on the team; maybe draft a CB or a FS, but other than that, simply draft best player available, regardless of position. In the last draft we may have only drafted "special teams" but that means that our rookies are seeing the field and making NFL hits - something a lot of other teams' rookies aren't doing. This experience, while only a little, will be key in their development as future backups and potentially starters.

4. Get rid of Bobby Carpenter.

Your list is rather short when 52/53 of the current cowboys 53 man roster are my favorite 53 players, with 53 being Jesse Holley over Ken Hamlin.

Austin smiles too much. Didn't like Jones when we drafted him same with Jenkins. Their play on the field hasn't done anything for me to like them either.

Nope. I think he's having a break out year but it isn't enough for him to instantly become my favorite player. I need some consistent out of him first.

I liked him going into the draft and when we drafted him I was high on him. I thought he was a good pick up and good be good if he just got more chances.

he was undrafted, I like him aswell but not nearly as much as Austin, Austin has proved he can perform, Ogletree has not, isn't that your system?

I take note of Austin's performance but that doesn't mean I will like him. He had a break out year that's wonderful. He had no impact on yesterdays games. Let's see what he does for the rest of the season and next year. Sorry if I'm not falling all over the guy like yourself.

Step down as GM.

Hire a real football GM

Let the GM help in finding a coach.

Once the coach and GM are intact. I get drunk, flirt with the waitresses at Hooters and sign the checks to anyone THOSE TWO want signed and draft.

Then....????

I go back to Hooters, drinks are on the house as I hold up #6...
