Romo 2 Austin;3126135 said:Are you saying don't resign Austin? because that is ridiculous, maybe a 3-4 year Deal instead of 6, but if Austin stopped producing after the Atlanta and KC games I would understand considering not resigning him, but he has been unstoppable since the KC Game, another 110 yard game with a TD yesterday.
4 games with 100+ yards in 8 starts, call me crazy but that doesn't sound like a fluke.
Resigning Sensabaugh is needed, who knows what we will get in the draft and a 2 year deal is not long.
Hey I like Miles too, but he hasn't been unstoppable. Philly, Green Bay and Washington and the others before hand. This isn't a slam on Miles, it's a realistic view at what has happened. He's been Superman at times and I love the possibilities. But Barber was Superman, Roy Williams was Superman, Ken Hamlin wasn't Superman, he was just that Ritz cracker in the face of Roy Williams Saltine performance.
Jerry needs to get control of these situations and get these guys to actually earn something before rewarding them. Fear of losing them isn't cutting it, because if it's even one or two guys disappointing, they're enough to destroy a good thing, just like we saw yesterday. Like what we've been seeing for years.
If he's the brilliant business mind everyone lauds him as, he'd know how to get top product with out continually being burned. He's constantly being burned. By this very suggestion of yours. It's not up to me have an answer, just because I recognize the pattern, but I can't deny it either. It's an often repeated mistake in Dallas.
