You guys with the outcoached stuff are crazy. Our players didn't even want to be there. What is the world are the coaches supposed to do when the team would rather be home or at a Louis Vuitton convention.
I believe the OP explained it pretty good. The game isn't only about players playing good, it is about game planning, about studying film, understanding what your opponent tends to do in certain situations and coming up with plays, formations, and designs to counteract those tendencies and knowing when to do so. For Example, the game mods were talking about how GB worked on disguising the defensive alignment so that Dak would read it one way, then at hiking of ball they would change to be another way forcing Dak to not always have his first read be open forcing him to actually scan the field giving their defenders more time to get to QB. Definitely effective against Dak because he is not very fast as scanning the field.
How about simple stuff that this team and every player should know about the game and the rules, I mean for example the situation where a kick returner would field a kickoff if it was close to sideline within the 10 yard line - smart thing to do is catch it (if possible) with a body part out of bounds resulting in the kick being ruled out of bounds hence ball on 40 yard line. How many times here have we argued about how stupid our team is at times, like they are not prepared and don't know the rules?
I think a very huge part of the quality of a team is based on coaching, not minor as you (and many others) suggest.
