The question is how what Romo shows up?

The 2014 Romo, who, by the way was being managed as they allowed the run game to protect him from having to win it all by himself.

Or the rusty Romo that stared last year.

The Eagles will hit him with everything, including the kitchen sink to get Dak back on the field.

So, are you so absolutely certain Romo will be 100% and can make the throws to stretch the defense?

Or is playing Dak and perhaps sacrificing one game to protect Romo until he gets his sea legs back the answer.

I see no need risking Romo until he is equipped to handle it.

Rookie Dak > Rookie Romo. That's the comparison I care about the most.

Romo is a rookie?

I don't know if you have been keeping up with current events bro, but this Romo fella has been our starter for like 11 seasons and is projected to be back Oct 30 against the Eagles. The debate is do we go with the 11 year vet or do we stick with the rookie Prescott.

I have no idea why you are comparing Romo as rookie to Dak as a rookie, it has absolutely no bearing on anything. The debate is do we stick with the rookie Dak or do we put Romo back in the lineup. (the 11 year vet, not going back in time in a Dorian to get rookie Romo)

I cant believe I have to actually explain this.

Comprehension might be in short supply.

Oh,yeah? Well, I'm a fricking "CLINT LONGLEY",, and a "JIM ZORN" fan

And have personally shot/put down old dogs that cannot hunt any longer(it's true, and I cried after the fact) but TONY ROMO IS GONNA BE THE FIELD GENERAL.

exactly. we finally have QB depth in Dallas. What a welcome change. Its media's job to generate and create controversy. Makes money.

Romo had a hand in finding this The Dakota Dude. Without Romo doing that we probably would never have struck gold.
we sort of still need a back up QB cause Dak is so good we may be looking for that back up for him sooner then we anticipated

Romo has to be the guy when he gets back not only because he is the better QB at this moment but because of our D.

As we begin to play the better teams that can score points and have a good enough D to not allow us to march consistently for 10-12 play ball control drives we are going to need some of the big plays that Romo can bring to this offense.

I love Dak for our future, but if we are going to win this year against the better teams with our current D, we are going to need some big plays from this O.

The biggest issue I have with starting Romo again is the fear of him getting re-injured. When Dak scrambled on the first play against the Niners I was first concerned because I'm used to it being Romo at QB and thinking he could get hurt.

And teams are going to blitz Romo to death and he's going to get hit a lot. One of the surprising things about this is that Dak actually gets roughing the passer calls. For whatever reason, the refs never give roughing the passer calls to Romo.

The other part is I wonder about the running game and short passing game under Tony which we will rely on even more without Dez. Dak has a better feel for the short passing game and since he's an option to run out of the shotgun or bootleg, it makes things more difficult for the defense.'

I think if anything, the Romo years were filled with poor coaching and a defense that couldn't be counted on.
