You can't win with 5 rookies

Overshown can’t play the run unless it’s an open field in front of him and all he has to do is chase and tackle. He played a lot like what he actually is…a converted safety playing LB. He’s not nearly physical enough to play in the box and take on blocks

Enough of the “he’s a safety” narrative. He played LB for 3 years at Texas. There’s plenty of film of him taking on/shedding blocks. Dude is bigger, stronger, & faster than Liufau.

No team that isn’t rebuilding or have injury problems goes into the season counting on 5 rookies. Usually it’s 1-2 starters and the rest play 10-15 snaps a game.

Instead Dallas has:
Guyton
Beebe
Kneeland
Carson
Liufau

Even bigger problem is 3 of those guys are trench players and no rookies strength is ready day 1. They will likely grow into nice players but having them play crucial snaps from the jump is ridiculous.

So yes Dallas is rebuilding without saying it because they don’t want to lose your $

Yet not at the NFL level yet because he was hurt last year. He’s going to be awesome in time playing the run and diagnosing motion as a lot of these guys hopefully will. But probably not until later in the year. By that time will the season already be lost?

Overshown is who gives us a chance as a spy against Balt. When he can key on one guy and attack him. New Orleans had alot of motion and blocks to sift through.

We are going to need a spy or the QB will have over a 100 rushing yards by the half. The D will be tired from chasing him.
