You expect me to believe another year of Romo, Witten, Ware, Garrett is supposed to compete w/that?

If I were you, I would have probably avoided even discussing that bio and buried it since it illustrates why he is hardly the "cap genius" when it comes to these players in particular.

We paid nearly $ 25 million in dead money to Owens, Davis and especially Hamlin when it was obvious to cut them because they could not play any longer. We gave Ferguson away along with Fasano to dump the money in his contract. But golly gee, we really all need to give Stephen more credit.

Hahaha when was it obvious that T.O couldn't play anymore? He was a monster in '07 and was cut after '08 due to his locker room influence. It cost us more to cut him than it would've cost to keep him. He was productive the rest of his career even without good QBs. His release had very little to do with his on-field production.

Ferguson got hurt then was deemed expendible thanks to Ratliff's emergence.

Davis and Hamlin were Pro Bowlers. You know, the sort of "talented players" everyone is crying about us lacking nowadays. We paid big money to these guys because we wanted to contend, which we did. Damned if you're do, damned if you don't!

Your response to my Ware comment was predictable. Like I said before, Jerry haters would rather eat poison than give him credit for anything. It's funny to me. Apparently, Jerry is solely responsible for the Cowboys D not being as strong as it could be for Ware's prime... even in all the years where we had defensive-minded head coaches who had MAJOR say in which players they wanted for their scheme! That's all on Jerry but the Ware draft pick? Irrelevant. Credit goes to NOBODY. LOL.

Um, one quick look at this list proves that current cap space has ZERO correlation to how good a team actually is.

The top 3 teams in cap space are all putrid. Half of this season's playoff teams are in the bottom half of that list. Haha the Seahawks are 24th while paying their best offensive player (Wilson) and best defensive player (Sherman) pennies from their rookie contracts!!! Huge swing and a miss if this list was meant to prove some sort of point.
