8 or 9 wins is what i'm predicting.

But after reading that Haley article, it's obvious most of this team doesn't get it....at all. It's gonna take Red a couple seasons to 'change the culture'. It doesn't happen over night, because alot of contracts don't allow for it: see T.Newman, Jenkins, etc.... So.....get ready because the games will be close this season but I don't see 9 wins or the playoffs at this time.![]()

Why?
Because I'm a fan who is eternally hopeful until they are out of it.

In between is 2 more preseason games, several weeks of preparation as well as many more opportunities to improve our roster via courtesy of the NFL and league wide cut down dates.
I also realize we have a young coach in the process of changing not only the culture of a team as you stated but implementing a new philosophy. At the same time I have full confidence in Garrett, Ryan, Jones and the rest of the staff and front office at Valley Ranch that they will do what needs to be done to have this team ready opening day mentally and physically as well as have the pieces in place that they feel they need to get it done.
I'm positive on August 24th of 2010 Kansas City Chiefs fans every where were looking ahead to the 2011 draft while at the same time I remember Vikings contemplation Super Bowl festivities.
I'm also not getting that same vibe you speak of from the players. I actually have found it to be the opposite of not only what you described but opposite of what we have seen the past few years. I think Bradie James drove home the point when he said, “Our alumni, our former greats have made us America’s Team and we reap benefits that we haven’t earned — all the way around, as individuals, as a team. Those guys earned it. We just think we deserve it.” To me it's obvious the players finally understand.
I'm not calling for a 16-0 or a 0-16 but what I do know is the Cowboys will show up and play all 16 games for 60 minutes under Garrett unlike we have seen in the past couple years and I do believe unlike last year, we wont be sitting waiting to see who wins to eliminate us from the playoffs and rushing to update the draft order.
The Boys will be in a position to control their own fate down the stretch and I have faith Garrett by that time will have this team fully understanding what it means to make their own destiny and have to as Bradie said "earned it".

Can you tell me why you're so certain we can't win an extra game or two, and why anyone who thinks that we can "just doesn't see it?"
