You Guys Have a Huge Amount of Lots of Work to Do

I'm smelling a closet Cowboys fan here. We have no affiliation with his team what-so-ever and he's spending his evenings up in here with us. hmmmm

Actually, he was a Dolphins fan up until their most recent game.

silverbear, you've really got me going there, governor.

Who cares if I really wear my hair like that?

You never know what's gonna trip a troll's trigger, all you can do is throw out the bait, see what he bites on...

It doesn't have any affection on my grasp of football knowledge (which, and I don't me to sound ridiculing, you obviously do not have).

Actually, I'm generally regarded on this forum and others as a bit of a draft guru... my annual draft analysis is always highly anticipated and very popular... indeed, it appears annually in a Cowboys "fanzine" all the way over in Britain...

And of course, if you HAVE any football knowledge, you were parodying it in your initial post...

During the pre-law days,

And why exactly would somebody who went pre-law feign being semi-illiterate??

Again, note that my troll-baiting smoked you out from behind that pose... all of a sudden, you seem to have a grasp of the language...

Which means you're not even a particularly good troll...

I took some psychological classes regarding psychology and sociology (study of people in the social atmosphere) and it appears that you're grasping at straws out of thin air because you just don't have any factual arguments to present regarding your team (Cowboys) vs. my team (Buccanneers - SB XXXIIIX Champs).

Well, let's see-- there's my team, which went 13-3 last season, and now has 15 players on the roster who have played in the Pro Bowl in the last two years... then there's YOUR team, which went 9-7 last year, and currently has 3 players on the roster who have played in the Pro Bowl in the last two years (Jeff Garcia last year, Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber the year before)...

Hmmmmm, I wonder which team is more talented??

How's that for football facts??

The thing is, you weren't in here to talk football, you were in here to be silly, so it's rather asinine of you to expect a serious football dialogue... we ridicule trolls who in here... OK, you're rather a benign troll, but you came in here to merrily stir the fecal matter, and it ain't my fault if you're not having as much fun as you thought you would...

That's ok. I've obviously got your skin boiling. Don't mean to offend.

Actually, I'm just having the same kind of FUN you were trying to have, with your first post... I was just messin' with your mind...

BTW, the saying is "BLOOD boiling", not "skin boiling"...

It's deliciously ironic that my playing instantly made you defensive... :D

For a guy who seems to flaunt his education - your grasp of the english language is tenuous at best.

It WAS kinda comical, watching him try to impress us with how well-educated he is... problem is, folks with the kind of education he claims are almost always too intelligent to find playing the troll game to be amusing...

If he did indeed go pre-law, he clearly flunked out...

Good morning,

I've just got done analyzating some game film from the Pewter Pirate-sized thrashing of the Miami Dolphins on Saturday. After reading through the rest of the results in the Tampa Tribune, I noticed the Dallas "Super Bowl XXXXIII Champions" Cowboys got destroyed by the San Diego Chargers.

It's tough not to watch HBO on Wednesday nights and not get inundated with all of this Cowboys hoopla and "the best team in the NFC Conference" diet tribe.

Don't get me wrong...I'm not here to bash, yet I'm not here to criticize your team either. The Bucs had their share of mistakes, but this little ol' NFC Southern Champion team had NO penalties...that's right...ZERO!

Here's a list of things I think might have happened and what your team should try to improvise on:

1) Get Brad Johnson more reps - As the case in 2002, Brad needs many snaps to get his head in the game and focus. You see how 2002 turned out.

2) Don't Give in to Terrell Owens (TO) - Gruden knows how to handle superstars like Joey Galloway and Ike Hilliard. You make them feel like part of the team and do not give into their "me first" ideology.

3) Take the Glazer Approach - Jerry needs to take a tip from Joel and Bryan...don't get involved with "high dollar" superstars. They showed last season that a team of above-average NFL League-caliber players and genious coaching is all you need to have success.

So, my friends, there's a couple things the front office could work on to improve the Cowboys.

You guys are on the right track though. Keep in mind, that this is only the first week of preseasonal games. Sure, the Bucs are one game ahead of you already, but there is time to make up some ground.

Thoughts?

Somebody call 911...the english language is in a coma after this beating.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

You can lead a horse, but you can't make him run.

Another man's garbage is another man's trash.

CrazyCowboy, I could go on forever.

Yes, I'm a fan of the Buccanneers but that doesn't mean I don't recognize other successful teams out there in the NFL League.

It's a little late to be going back to the schtick, poseur... you done outed yourself, and all because you couldn't take a few jokes about your comical appearance...

Too bad, I was about to ask if you bought the grease for your hair in 42 gallon drums, and if it was getting too expensive to maintain that 'do with today's oil prices...

"Aug 10, 2008 - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers held the Miami Dolphins to just six points Saturday night while putting up 17 of their own in their preseason-opening win. The Bucs committed no turnovers, no penalties, and outgained the Dolphins by nearly 100 yards, 295 to 198."

It's a beautiful thing, isn't it?

EDIT: You've read that right...295 yards...that's almost 300.

Which is almost respectable...

Almost... then you take a look at the stats sheet, and find out that your heroes averaged all of 3.9 yards per play, which is PATHETIC... my team only had 285 yards, but averaged 5.0 yards per play-- against a much better opponent...

Then again, we Cowboys fans are kinda spoiled, having seen a REAL offense in action last year... you know, the kind that averaged over 365 yards per game, 3rd best in the league, and 28.4 points per game, 2nd best in the league... that's 7.5 points and nearly 40 yards more per game than your gang that couldn't shoot straight...

i didnt know people liked the buccs still haha. weakest division in football and you played the worst team in the last well.. while who are in heavy rebuilding mode. not a superbowl contender unlike chargers.
Despite all of that your first teams only looked marginal against the dolphins. which is not good i guess. the buccs wouldve had a losing record in the afc south .

with that being said the cowboys second and third teams stunk it up .

This thread is getting too serious. This pic should get us back on the right track:

Silverbear, you're going way overboard their compadre.

You're forgetting that Bill Parcells is in charge of those Dolphins down there in Miami. That's worth 6 wins right there. You add in a healthy Ricky Williams, that's another 4 wins. Now Chad Henne is in there, that's another 3-4 wins. All of the sudden you have a lot more wins in Miami than last year. I wouldn't doubt if they challenged the Chargers for the AFC Conference title this season.

As for the Cowboys stats last year, very impressive. They are really coming along. I don't know what shooting has to do with anything, however.

As far as another appearance comment about my looks, I'm happy with how I look. That's all that matters.

Just because BP is there doesnt guarantee anything unless you still have talent, Ricky Williams is done, hes old & his body is toast as a starter, & and you give 3-4 wins to Henne who is young and unproven???
Dude if you write for your own "insider" column you need to polish up your football knowledge. You have no idea what youre talking about and your posts are a joke.
For Real, Im not bashing you...you just sound very uneducated about the game of football and for yourself you should want to polish up your "insider information" so you dont sound like a 10 year old making playground predictions...

They should have an hour minimum segment on NFLN with this guy and Emmitt Smith talking about the intrickasies of football. It would be gooder than Total Access.

So, you're predicting the Fins to go 14-2, or 15-1??

Like I said, you're not about serious football talk at all... and like I said, you blew your schtick some time back, when you jumped at my bait... too late now to try to revive it...

Incidentally, given that I'm not allowed to use my cartoon bear as an avatar in here, how did you even know about it??

Answer-- this isn't the first time I've punked you, is it?? :D

To throw you a bone, you DID have me rolling with "diet tribe"... that was an inspired bit of lunacy...

good thing no one pointed the joke out to anyone or this thread might have failed
