You have to fire Eberflus

I feel like he was forced on Schottenheimer because he knew the Jones’s.

We slowly went back in time to doing the Marinelli zone coverage garbage.

If Dallas doesn’t fire him tomorrow then don’t take this team serious going forward.

I know some of you want to blame players but you don’t have this many coverage busts & explosive plays with it being the players.

They’re clearly poorly coached & you can’t even accurately judge guys if they aren’t where they are supposed to be.
His defense isn't even Vanilla,...more like hardtack,....in fact Vanilla would be a big step up in creativity. This guy make Marinelli look like a mad scientist!

This bend not break, soft 'quick twitch' whatever you want to call it has to go forever.

Based on how totally unprepared his group looks, you have to be considering it.
Jerry admit hes wrong?

It took 10 years of Garrett, and he STILL didnt fire him. He let him walk out without a renewal.

Certainly a message would be sent with a firing but the real issue is the personnel Jerruh provided for the defensive staff. You can’t change the whole team but you can change the coach which may have some positive short term effects. As much as I don’t 100% blame Eberflus, I think you do have to send that message and fire him. I think he gets 1 more game and then he’s gotta go if we a replay of the last 2 weeks….

Hate to say it because I been preaching Patience. Got to fire him now. He's trying to fit players to his system stubbornly. That's a bad recipe. He's been a made man in his view...ie been there done that , a HC. In this case, it's a bad fit with young players. He's not changing. That's the big problem I overlooked this off-season. I admit it. I'm wrong on flus. Now we need to own our mistake, get it right, let's hire a younger DC. Let that DC grow with the team. Elevate a young up and coming guy on the staff NOW. We will be better off down the road.

They won't fire him.

My worry is they will invest the draft picks in players that fit his system. Instead of accepting it does not work

I would give him the Green Bay game to show some improvement. He may also be aided by getting Bland back this week and having Clowney in the fold. Getting those two on the field is bound to improve things. The question is how much. IT's clear that Diggs is nowhere near back to himself physically. He has zero make up speed right now. Elam is showing us why the Bills gave up on him. Wilson is pretty much what we've always known him to be.. a box safety who gets exposed if asked to play too far away from the ball. The real head scratcher to me is Hooker. He has been absolutely awful! as the center fielder you are NEVER supposed to allow plays behind you and he does it 4-5 times a game. If I was the DC I'd be trying to see what Juanyeh Thomas could do.

It's not that the system doesn't work. But a zone heavy scheme depends mightily on pass rush because if you have 7 defenders standing around in zone there are going to be open spaces for the QB to find if he has enough time. Are pass rush is allowing the QB too much time to pick the secondary apart. If you go man and disrupt the routes you buy your pass rush time to get home. Our corners are better at man coverage (I think) but Eberflus doesn't seem to want to do it.

So they go the failed Giants route of doing business? Lol....Gawd I hope your wrong. I knew flus and this D would be bad in camp. Growing pains due to all the changes. But this bad? Never in a million years. The offense I'm actually fine with. I'm comforted with how we run it. Even with no ceedee, we will be ok there. If I'm Shotty, I simplify everything on both sides and go run heavy. We do one thing extremely elite on offense. We've seen it. That is running the ball. We are top tier with the run. Why not go all in running it more? Take an area of strength and hone it. That's what we did in 2014. This club has so many similarities to the 2014 team. It's up to Shotty to recognize it and hone it. I'd be toting the rock 45 times per. We have a team that is built for that. It also keeps a very bad defense off the field. In my opinion, this ought to be the plan each week. Do what we do best, worry about the score later. Let's just lean on our best traits. I guess that's Marty ball.

Yeah. I think he was the linebackers coach for a few years under Marinelli.
He actually was originally a LB coach for us under DC Rob Ryan, then he was kept on the staff after Ryan was fired

Yeah the run game was clicking yesterday. Frankly I got mad at Schotty every time he had us throwing in the red zone. We were running it down their throats and we come out in 4 wide at the 5 yard line? Why? I would have run it 4 times.. If they stop me they stop me but the way it was going I don't think they could do a damn thing about it. I hate it when these OCs want to show what geniuses they are by throwing "creative" pass plays in the red zone. Dak's last INT never should have happened because we should have been slamming the ball into the end zone the previous three plays. This aspect of Schotty's play calling worries me. A lot.
