You have to fire Eberflus

Yeah the run game was clicking yesterday. Frankly I got mad at Schotty every time he had us throwing in the red zone. We were running it down their throats and we come out in 4 wide at the 5 yard line? Why? I would have run it 4 times.. If they stop me they stop me but the way it was going I don't think they could do a damn thing about it. I hate it when these OCs want to show what geniuses they are by throwing "creative" pass plays in the red zone. Dak's last INT never should have happened because we should have been slamming the ball into the end zone the previous three plays. This aspect of Schotty's play calling worries me. A lot.
Same. I thought we got too cute when we were having great success running up the gut. We were gashing them off tackle too. Guyton was really having a game run blocking, then things went south.

Almost 70 percent of this website supported eberflus hiring. I said it before and I'll say it again......most of the people on here complaining nonstop are just as bad as Jerry. Eberflus has been a bum

Im one . I admit it. I was sold in the hiring. I'm here to say I'm wrong. It's obvious only after 3 games that this guy is a fraud. Looking back, I guess it's better to hire a guy that not a self proclaimed made man. I'd rather have a younger DC to grow with my players. I think at least with this team, that would have been better. I'm thinking we should have interviewed Al harris for the DC job at least. I wonder if he could have been better.

I would give him the Green Bay game to show some improvement. He may also be aided by getting Bland back this week and having Clowney in the fold. Getting those two on the field is bound to improve things. The question is how much. IT's clear that Diggs is nowhere near back to himself physically. He has zero make up speed right now. Elam is showing us why the Bills gave up on him. Wilson is pretty much what we've always known him to be.. a box safety who gets exposed if asked to play too far away from the ball. The real head scratcher to me is Hooker. He has been absolutely awful! as the center fielder you are NEVER supposed to allow plays behind you and he does it 4-5 times a game. If I was the DC I'd be trying to see what Juanyeh Thomas could do.
Diggs is awful.

One thing we do know is that the guys would have run through hellfire for him. A lot of times that's the difference with a coach and how his message is received. It may be that Eberflus simply is not relating to the guys. The same thing happened to Zim last year. The guys did not respond to his style either. Harris was more Quinn-like and the player buy in may have been better with him.

Great points. It answers my question. I tend to think that makes sense.

If he does not quickly turns things around, the players will quit on him, which will get him fired.

Al Harris should've been the choice. We missed out but we should be smart enough to recognize Eberflus is not the one and move on before he kills the whole season.

You're the dense one, buddy.

I can't find the stat right now, but in prior seasons, the Cowboys D was MUUUUCH better when Parsons was on the field vs when he was off of it.

Like practically the worst in the league without him, and near the top of the league with him.

Yes, an elite, generational pass rusher makes a HUGE impact.

There's a reason he's making $47M/year.
I know the stat. That has nothing to do with this defense. With this scheme and the players on the field we have with this coaching staff. Nothing at all.

I'm sorry you don't have the ability to see the guys running open downfield. Or the amount of time QB's have to stand in the pocket while we barely blitz, or stunt. We line up 4 and they stay in their lanes and get locked up. Parsons 2 QB pressures in a game wouldnt change this. We don't have a guy like Quinn who confuses offenses with different looks and pressure coming from different places. Thats not what we have and Parsons would be frustrated with this defense.

If any 1 player could turn this dumpster fire into a respectable defense then he would be worth 125m per year.

No. Zimmer has a complicated system that takes awhile to get used to. There's nothing complicated about eberflus' Marinelli crap. He's just not good.
