There have been many great Cowboys players over the years including many who got more spotlight, highlight reels and recognition, but all of those players (quarterbacks, receivers, running backs, offensive linemen, defensive linemen, linebackers) have been replaced at times by good or better players.

Darren Woodson retired 19 years ago and the Cowboys are still trying to find his replacement today at safety.
