You have to pick one Cowboy and no other

Impossible question. I'm going to vote for the player that just quietly took care of business and made other HOF'ers quiver with fear. The one, the only LA!

Seen a few of these types of threads while we wait for the draft and new season.

So here is my simple question - Who is your favorite Dallas Cowboy of all-time?

No diplomatic lists, no I used to pick this person and now I go with this player.

Point blank, who is your single favorite player, the legend of legends that you saw play?

For me, Troy Aikman.

Never met a Super Bowl he couldn’t win. Leader on and off the field. No nonsense.
Easily Staubach. I think the majority of Cowboys fans old enough to have watched and understood the game that far back would say the same.

Lance Alworth, favorite player of all time. But he wasn't an original, need to be an original?
I get the favorite player of all time part - he truly was a great player. But he wasn't particularly special by the time he got to the Cowboys at the tail end of his career. I believe he did have a Super Bowl TD for the Cowboys against Miami though..

Manster!

Defense deficiencies solved with 1 player.

And possibly the offense also, if he says "this is what you have to do"

Leadership...by example.

With slight intimidation. :)

Roger Staubach. Never in the history of this team has 1 player been able to just put the team on their back and lead us to wins consistently like Roger. Not just wins, but BIG wins. The fan base and the team felt as long as we had Roger, we could win the game. Even down by large amounts with only a few minutes left, we still felt that W was inevitable.

Don’t have a favorite but Charles Haley’s arrival was one of the most transformative from contender to dominance

I’m kinda prejudice....
Moose Johnston was a long time fishing and hunting client of mine. Just a great fella. I got to meet quite a few players and coaches over the years. Meredith was a one man stand up comic show

TROY AIKMAN , no argument . The most accomplished Super Bowl winning QB and leader and the face of the franchise and its legacy since 1989 . Still a dallas favorite and has a home here plus many businesses.
