Seen a few of these types of threads while we wait for the draft and new season.

So here is my simple question - Who is your favorite Dallas Cowboy of all-time?

No diplomatic lists, no I used to pick this person and now I go with this player.

Point blank, who is your single favorite player, the legend of legends that you saw play?

——————————————

For me, Troy Aikman.

Never met a Super Bowl he couldn’t win. Leader on and off the field. No nonsense.
Emmitt Smith. Best running back of all time. Heart and soul of the 90s Cowboys. Can’t believe Jerry let Parcells get rid of him.:huh:

I love Troy to death, but on rainy days he HATED to throw a wet ball. The GREAT Emmitt Smith had to carry an EXTRA HEAVY load on those bad weather days lol. I see your point though, but I think even Troy would pick Emmitt.

So glad Troy is in the HOF.
But i did not think he's elite, and he came away with some clutch NFC title games, but that 90's team more so rode the back of Emmitt Smith than Troy.

- during Emmitt's contract hold out, and starting the season winless at 0-2 the call out was ..... " we need Emmitt "

- in a game where all the NFC division and playoff advantage stakes were on the line at season's end vs NY Giants, the team rode the
back of shoulder- separated Emmitt. .. instead of Troy.

- in the Super Bowl where Troy was obviously still dingy from a previous concussion and off his game, the team again rode the back of Emmitt
en route to a back to back Super bowl win.

- Aikman came in the most handy when defenses boxed up, sold out vs the run, and Troy could sizzle the ball to Irvin, underneath in slants or over the top of defenses.

Roger Staubach. He's why I became a Cowboys fan in the first place.

As much as I'd love to mention my favorite Cowboys like Larry, Woody, DWare, Dez, and Playmaker, there's only one choice for me.

#22.

Growing up, kids at my school did church things on Sundays. We watched Emmitt.

I want to say Irvin or Troy but it has to be Emmit. He was the guy and every team that played us knew it.

That 93 , back to back championship team was my all-time favorite as outside of Cowboys fans the whole world wanted to see them lose so they could say the 92 was a fluke. They smashed the 49ers then ran the ball down the Bills throat. They broke their backs.
