A lot of 1st round busts are guys who cant handle the NFL. No work ethic, dont really like football or who have issues in their lives. Things that can be difficult to fix.

Read this list......... it seems their new strategy is to focus on busted players drafted fairly high and hopefully hit on a few. Not bad as long they use it in perspective and do NOT try to use to build but supplement. This league is loaded with B players hungry to prove themselves ....... I can see taking a low risk on 5-6 players per year. High reward-low risk......

I’m a fan of this philosophy. I still like the Lance trade even though it didn’t pan out. I like the idea of trading for 1st round picks with 5th rounders. If we hit on 2 of those 6 that we got then that’ll be huge. Especially if we did it for several years.

I do hope/wish that now we got some players with potential to be good I’d like to add at least 2 or 3 players that are good that can step in day 1 and contribute. Ala Stephon Diggs or Kupp (even though Kupp is out now) but someone at the WR, OG, CB and DT. I hope we address at least 1or 2 of those positions with an established good player.

I’m all for increasing depth and DLine is the deepest position group in the draft this year and stopping run needs to be a priority

I don’t think we’ll see any interior draft picks till 76 maybe later.

I could support DE early though but I tend to agree that WR ,CB and RB should be a priority and outside of RB which maybe you can get late the talent is limited at the other spots

But they are misinterpreting what people were saying. Active in terms of getting in on quality FAs early.

It was always quality over quantity. In other words, if they signed two really good FAs early that's better than signing 6 JAGs early. But that's what they have done here and think they've bucked the whole not active claim.

At risk of being an Jerry apologist, I dont think he's focused on JAG's, he (and I suspect McClay and Personnel) are looking at players who havent developed and are trying to see if we can do better.....its like having another set of 1st Rd talent (to catch lightening in the bottle)......however problem is our Development Team hasnt been pulling up tree's recently.

There's an acceptance (without openly admitting it) that the real focus is on 2026....get some wins out of these 'Failed' highly ranked recent draft picks and MAYBE spend next year. THE PROBLEM, EXACERBATED BY JERRY's MEDIA COMMENTS, IS NOBODY BELIEVES HE'LL EVER SPEND.

FO = 30M to sign 5-6 JAGS

Should've Done = 30M to sign 1-2 high quality agents in areas of need.

Payton Turners problem has been health.

These are all solid signings. They aren’t superstars that take this team over Washington or Philadelphia. But get a top tier WR and RB in the draft and they have a shot. If they came away with WR/CB/RB in first three rounds that would be amazing.

I think this will be the best coaching staff we’ve seen since Parcells/Payton days. All the offensive guys are DUDES. And the league loves Eberflus as a DC.

I’m gonna withhold judgment on the offseason until after the draft.

There you go. I am not a fan of Jerry and Stephen after still backing them half a dozen years ago. Hell hath no fury as a diehard Cowboys fan scorned, lol. Schottenheimer may be fan underrated. I am quite intrigued with the quality staff of coaches they assembled it speaks of more input and latitude for the HC. I understand the cynicism but not the vitriol, let's at least see how this plays out early into the first quarter of the regular season, post draft and free agent acquisitions wise.

A guy who can't stay on the field is a solid signing? Your definition of solid and mine varies wildly.
