I’m a fan of this philosophy. I still like the Lance trade even though it didn’t pan out. I like the idea of trading for 1st round picks with 5th rounders. If we hit on 2 of those 6 that we got then that’ll be huge. Especially if we did it for several years.Read this list......... it seems their new strategy is to focus on busted players drafted fairly high and hopefully hit on a few. Not bad as long they use it in perspective and do NOT try to use to build but supplement. This league is loaded with B players hungry to prove themselves ....... I can see taking a low risk on 5-6 players per year. High reward-low risk......

They are singularly focused on money. Separating the fan from his/her money and adding it to their immense wealth. They are really good at greed and in Jethro's case, narcissism. They dont give one damn what you or others think they should be doing.
All your past support for Mazi fading? OSA just signed new contract. Where are your early trench guys gonna go?You don't plan on stopping the run again this year?
At risk of being an Jerry apologist, I dont think he's focused on JAG's, he (and I suspect McClay and Personnel) are looking at players who havent developed and are trying to see if we can do better.....its like having another set of 1st Rd talent (to catch lightening in the bottle)......however problem is our Development Team hasnt been pulling up tree's recently. They heard the complaints that they weren't active enough in FA, so they went out and signed a bunch of JAGs early. Now they will come out and tell us that complaints about them not being active was silly and stupid.
But they are misinterpreting what people were saying. Active in terms of getting in on quality FAs early.
It was always quality over quantity. In other words, if they signed two really good FAs early that's better than signing 6 JAGs early. But that's what they have done here and think they've bucked the whole not active claim.
They still don't get it.
True, I would rather they have signed two or three starters than a bunch of jags that they say provide “quality depth “.They heard the complaints that they weren't active enough in FA, so they went out and signed a bunch of JAGs early. Now they will come out and tell us that complaints about them not being active was silly and stupid.

The OL from Miami started 17 games last year. Miles Sanders was good in Philly. Javonte Williams has 850 total yards 3 of his 4 years in the league which is perfect for a #2.The homers are claiming these guys are going to be solid performers.
The two LBs and maybe Fowler. Other then that there is NO PROOF THEY EVER WILL BE SINCE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN BEFORE.
total garbage; they are not solid signings unless your criteria is one step up from JAGSThe OL from Miami started 17 games last year. Miles Sanders was good in Philly. Javonte Williams has 850 total yards 3 of his 4 years in the league which is perfect for a #2.
Payton Turners problem has been health.
These are all solid signings. They aren’t superstars that take this team over Washington or Philadelphia. But get a top tier WR and RB in the draft and they have a shot. If they came away with WR/CB/RB in first three rounds that would be amazing.
I think this will be the best coaching staff we’ve seen since Parcells/Payton days. All the offensive guys are DUDES. And the league loves Eberflus as a DC.

There you go. I am not a fan of Jerry and Stephen after still backing them half a dozen years ago. Hell hath no fury as a diehard Cowboys fan scorned, lol. Schottenheimer may be fan underrated. I am quite intrigued with the quality staff of coaches they assembled it speaks of more input and latitude for the HC. I understand the cynicism but not the vitriol, let's at least see how this plays out early into the first quarter of the regular season, post draft and free agent acquisitions wise.I believe their strategy, right or wrong is that they signed some player’s for depth.
I’m gonna withhold judgment on the offseason until after the draft.
Oh, IDK, this is pretty bottomish.I will say this though....@ least they aren't scrapping the bottom of the barrel like they used to......I'd say it's more like the side.... Who doesn't like scrappies?
Even more of them lack essential traits such as lateral agility and burst, or instincts.A lot of 1st round busts are guys who cant handle the NFL. No work ethic, dont really like football or who have issues in their lives. Things that can be difficult to fix.
A guy who can't stay on the field is a solid signing? Your definition of solid and mine varies wildly. The OL from Miami started 17 games last year. Miles Sanders was good in Philly. Javonte Williams has 850 total yards 3 of his 4 years in the league which is perfect for a #2.

The oft missed aspects of Moneyball was that: the positiinal players had talent (just werent the all-round players.... get on-base, HR, ignore defense) and that the A's had one of the best pitching rotation.#MoneyBall
I like their strategy.
I'm not so sure about that. Do you listen to them when they talk? Jerry is more sensitive to criticism than any other GM (and his dopey son isn't too different). It's part of what makes him uniquely incompetent. He reacts. No vision for what type of team they want. No long term plan. just tries and puts out the most recent fire. No chance we take an OT at #12 because that would be admitting the mistake from last year and bring on criticism and force him to explain last year's pick (for the record I still think Guyton can develop). Same reason we keep running Mazi out there. I think it's all about what other people think. jerry's been trying to show everyone he is a football guy for 30 years now. Poor guy just proves he isn't more and more each year...They dont give one damn what you or others think they should be doing.
