I’m a fan born in 1993. So I’ve missed a lot of the successful years of this franchise. My bond with the team started when we got T.O.

As I got older I learned about Jerry Jones, unfortunately and started my Cowboys fandom with Bill Parcells at the helm. With 10 years of JG I can say it’s refreshing to have a new coach even though we are struggling, the team offensively looks different and Mike’s biggest message today was changing the locker room.

My cousins told me that MM would make Dak statistically have the greatest year, but it would be bad for the team. I see it now because JG doesn’t even have the balls to let Dak sling it like that. Underneath I feel like he’s testing Dak as well in his contract year seeing if he can be the guy.

I have hope we can go 3-0 leading into the Eagles game with a combination minimum 4 players of Sean Lee, LVE, Randy, Chido, Brown. LVE now has 21 days to be on the active roster.

Eagles game will be the swing game of the season, away in Philly. Wentz will be fighting to keep their team in the division. I have hope, but it needs to grow week by week and that starts with stomping on the Giants and making a statement Monday night with the Cardinals at home.

PS - I went to the pages with the last messages on this thread. We had Quincy Carter addicted to coke on this team. We need to pay Dak, he will be pushed to limits this season and that is a good thing.

Dear lad.
Like cigarette smoking, it is best not started. Or Amazon.
Also, hair braiding, which stresses the tresses.
Put your emotional support behind the chiefs, Ravens and 49ers and you will not be sari but glad you left Mumbai.
Jerry will break your heart every year.

I became a fan when Tony Dorsett was drafted. I have been fortunate enough to see some good times. And boy they were good times. I think we will see good times again...just not this year. it looks like the O can score at will. We need to fix the D. Winning these next few games would be nice.

My condolences. I grew up watching Roger Staubach and Tom Landry. If I was your age and hadn't seen this team win Super Bowls I doubt I'd be a Cowboys fan.

I hope you live long enough to see the Cowboys return to glory. I suspect I will not as long ss the Jones boys are running the show.

I am a late 40s fan. I got my start in the Roger, Tony D, Landry era. A much better time. Dallas was one of the most thoughtful and respectable franchises in sports. The front office was phenomenal. Very advanced.

Today the Dallas Cowboys are a carnival act. They live off the past glory but they lose more of that every year.

Fixed it. Sorry but nobody remembers football games from when they were 3..........even if your parents parked you in front of the TV.

I'm really sorry about what you've gotten yourself into.

Jerry Jones doesnt deserve you. I'm giving you permission to switch teams!

If not...at the very least....NO MORE merchandise buying.

I can relate to this. I was born in 1987...the last time the Cowboys played in a Super Bowl, you were 2 or 3...I was 8.

2007 was the pinnacle of my fandom...the last time I was truly optimistic that this team could win it all. Ever since then, I became more jaded each season until it got to the point where I no longer expect good things from this team, and when it does happen, it's surprising to see.

I still feel like we need to get the running game going. I know Zeke is having a rough start to the season, but I'm not ready to totally abandon the run game. These off tackle runs are not what he does best. Just give it to him straight up the middle...he never seems to get yardage on sweeps, tosses, etc. That will be the key to our success.

Dak has proved he needs to be surrounded by top talent to win. You have to pay that talent money. See the money invested at WR, RB, and was invested in the O-line before it all fell apart. And that's all fine. The only problem is the defense is in absolute shambles. That's going to take good drafts and FA's who aren't on their last legs looking for one more contract. It's going to be hard to get that if you pay your QB a massive contract also knowing you have to keep everyone around him as well.

I was in grade school rocking a starter jacket the last time we were winning championships.

I often post how I feel for the younger fans of this team. The Dallas Cowboys used to be like the Patriots. Now they didn't go to or win as many Super Bowls but they did have 20 straight winning seasons under Landry. I remember this team would almost always score on their first drive...a well oiled machine that would methodically beat their opponent. Extremely well coached and built through the draft. The 90's team was built through the draft. And then free agency came and things went down hill. In this era of free agency and a salary cap your team needs a competent front office more than ever. Sadly, even young fans like yourself can see that is the anchor for this franchise.

I hope you get to see Dallas play in a Super Bowl. As for me? I hope to see another NFC championship game.

It really is sad how this org that was once so great has been reduced into a laughing stock because of one mans hubris.

I became fan in 1980 when i first came to Texas at 10yrs old and my first memory of the DC was the NFCCG that is dubbed as the catch, so it was kick in the gut from Day 1 LOL and yet here i am over 40years later still a hard core fan..

yes very Lucky to have lived the 90s it was insane, not much internet almost all newspaper, real games, and the most fun was when seemingly an apartment complex i lived in in Dallas during that run were watching games and anytime they cored would all come out on the patios surrounding the pool cheering like at a game..after the last SB win it was insane..

fun times, great memories keep me going through tough times ..

I always appreciate younger fans who have stuck with the team despite the team not having great success over the years they have been a fan. And I hate it for fans like that who haven't got to enjoy the best of times along with the down times.

As for going 3-0 leading up to the Eagles game, if you had asked me about that before this past Sunday I would have said that is highly likely. As it is, I'm a little concerned about Arizona, and even though we should, and I think will, beat the Giants and Washington, I think Sunday proved that we can't take it for granted.

Dak has never had top talent based on what I've seen. He inherited a 4-12 team and aside from his 13 win season his rookie year his team has been 8-8.
